ACTIVE AND PASSIVE VOICE

❖ Simple Future. Use the future to indicate an action that is expected to take place at a
future time.
Active: will + base or am/is/are going to + base
Example: The guests will visit the museum today.
Mary is going to wear her grandmother's gown.
Passive: will + be + past participle or am/is/are + going to be + past participle
Example: The museum will be visited by the guests today.
Her grandmother’s gown is going to be worn by Mary.

Activity
Directions: Change the following sentences from active to passive or vice versa.
1. He will write a letter to the manager.
2. He will start the meeting.
3. Her bicycle will be repaired by Don.
4. They will hand in their resignation letter to the boss.
5. The window will be repaired by Aaron this afternoon.
