A. RUMINATE
1. Calf : cow aged 6-9 month

13. Inbreeding : is the term on ruminate farm given to the mating process between two
races of rumintry animals that are very close, such as the relationship of the mother
with the child, the father with the child, or the child with the child.
14. Cross Breeding : is the term for a cross marriage between cattle and the like that have
no blood relation.
15. Artificial insemination : is another designation for injecting marriage that is one of
the techniques for improving the genetic quality of farm animals.
16. The Carcass : is a section of cattle after the slaughter, a section of headless flesh an
bone,skin,feet and offal.
17. Pennisetum purpureum : known as elephant/king grass represents one of the kinds of
fodder growing in marginal areas.
18. sehacelata : is the type of grass that comes from the tropika region and the subtropika
of Africa and is introduced into the tropika region of the world.
19. Bengal grass (panicum maximum) : is one of the kinds that farmers use for green
growers in grassland.
20. Brachiaria mutica : or often called colonjono grass is one that comes from Africa and
South America.
21. Paspalum dilatatum is one of the kinds of fodder that comes from Argentina, in the
United States.
B. POULTRY
1. Rooster : nicknames for the rooster.
2. Hen : nicknames for the hen.
3. Calf : the term calf aged from one day to the age of one year.
4. Boilers : broilers aged 6-9 month.
5. Bantam : a type of small chicken that is generally a quarter of the size of a regular
chicken.
6. Capon : nicknames for castrated roosters.
7. Estrus : estrus or lust is a condition when an adult cow is ready to accept a male for
copulation (marriage).
8. Fryer : the term for the weight of juvenile chickens aged 2-3 months.
9. Biddy : another name for chicks.
10. Broody : the hen in the position of incubating the eggs.
11. ADG : ADG stands for average daily gain, which means the average daily weight gain of
a livestock ( in grams or kilograms/days).
12. Additivies : is an ingredient in relatively small amounts that is added to complete the
ration.
13. Ad Libitum : is a feeding system (eating and drinking livestock0 that is not limited or
given continuously.
14. Boss : it is a genus that includes cattle and wild bovines.
15. Complete Feed : is a type of feed consisting of forage and concentrate mixe into a
homogeneous mixture and given in a adequate scales.
16. Calf Starter : is a starter concentrate feed that can be introduced to calves aged 2 or 3
weeks.
17. Ducks : name for ducks in general.
18. Roaster : broilers reared from 2 months.
19. Rearing : rearing actives of male or female chickens.
20. Chick : nicknames for chicks 7-30 old.
21. Henny : a rooster whose plumage resembles that of a hen.
