Hymn “Stand up, stand up for Jesus” (VIP#339)

Stand up, stand up for Jesus! You soliders of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss:
From victory unto victory, His army He shall lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and is Christ is Lord indeed.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The trumpet call obey:
Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day;
You that are his, now serve Him against unbothered foes;
Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus! Stand in strength alone,

The arm of flesh will fail you, you dare not trust your own;
Put on the Christian’s armour, and watching unto prayer,
Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, the next the victor’s song;
To those that are victorious. A crown of life shall be;
They with the king of glory shall reign eternally.

Closing Hymn
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
One in Three, And Three in one,
As by the celestial host,
Let Thy will on earth be done;
Praise by all to Thee be given,
Glorious Lord of earth and heaven!

Vilest of the sinful race, Lo1 I answer to thy call;

Meanest vessel of Thy grace,
Grace divinely free for all,
Lo! I came to do Thy will, All Thy counsel to fulfill.
If so poor a worm as I May to Thy great glory live,
All my actions sanctify,
All my words and thoughts receive;
Claim me for Thy service, claim
All I have, and al I am.

Take my soul and body’s powers;

Take my memory, mind and will,
All my goods, and all my hours,
All I know, and feel, All I think, or speak, or
do; Take my heart, nut make it new!

Now, O God, Thine own I am,

Now I give Thee back Thine own;
Freedom, friends, and health, and fame,
Consecrate to Thee alone:
Thine I live, thrice happy!
Happier still if Thine I die.
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
One in Three, and Three in one,
As by the celestial host, Let thy will on earth be done;
Praise by all to Thee be given,
Glorious Lord of earth and heaven!
