SCENE 1: (SHIP PORT) June 26, 1892, Dr.

Jose Rizal Rizal: Let the dawn shed over me its radiant flashes, Let
arrived in Manila, Philippines, from Europe via Hong
Kong, accompanied by his sister Lucia.
SCENE 2: (MALACANANG PALACE) Then, proceeded to
Malacañang Palace to meet Governor-General Eulogio
Despujol. Suddenly, he was arrested by the officials.
Rizal was accused of being the main organizer of the
revolution by having proliferated the ideas of rebellion
and of founding illegal organizations.
Lucia: Why you arresting my brother?
Officials: He was charged by spreading newspaper
about the bloody revolution of this country and by
being the main organizer of illegal organizations.
SCENE 3: (COURT ROOM) Rizal pleadge not guilty and
even wote a manifesto appealing to the
revolutionaries to discontinue the uprising. Rizal' s
Lawyer, Lt. Luis Taviel de Andrade, tried his best to
save Rizal.
Lt. Luis Taviel de Andrade: I'm sorry Mr. Mercado I've
tried my best to save you. But, my best isn't enough to
get you out of here.
Rizal: No worries Lt. de Andrade, I know that you did
your job the best you could do. Thank you for your help.
I appreciate it.
the wind with sad lament over me keen; And if on my
cross a bird should be seen, Let it trill there its hymn of
peace to my ashes.
SCENE 7: (FORT SANTIAGO/ JAIL) Rizal mother and
sisters visited him on December 29,1896, Rizal gave
away his remaining possessions. He handed his gas
lamp to his sister Trinidad.
Rizal murmured: “ There is something inside”.
SCENE 8: (CAN BE IN A HOUSE/ RICE FIELDS)
Eventually, Trinidad and her sister Maria would extract
from the lamp the copy of the Rizal's last poem.
SCENE 9: (HALLWAY OF JAIL) At 6:30 in the morning of
December 30,1896, Rizal, in black suit with his arms
tied behind his back, walked to Bagumbayan.
SCENE 10: (BAGUMBAYAN) The orders were given and
shots were fired. Rizal died offering his life for his
country and its freedom.
Officials: Apunte!! (point out)
Rizal: Consummatum est! (It is finished!).

SCENE 4: (COURT ROOM) On December 26, 1896 the

trial ended and the sentence was read.. Jose Rizal was
found guilty and sentenced to death by firing squad.

SCENE 5: (COURT ROOM) On December 28, 1896

Governor-General Camiio de Polevieja signed the court
decision. He latere decreed that rizal will be
executedby firing squad at 7:00am of December 30.

GOVERNOR HENERAL CAMIIO: You, Jose Protacio

Mercado Rizal Y Alonso Realonda are sentenced to
death because of your betrayal of the country Spain.
The President and the members of the Tribunal are
witnesses.

SCENE 6: (FORT SANTIAGO/ JAIL) Rizal on his last

remaining days, Rizal composed his longest poem, Mi
Ultimo Adios (My last Farewell), which was about his
farewell to the Filipino people.
