THE CARGO, SENDING SAMPLE TO NON SGS LAB, STUFFING
SUPERVISION
We hereby report the followings:

Marking:
Following markings were observed on the body&/or top of drums, randomly inspected:

Type 1) Painted marking:

ALS
Premium Bitumen
Grade PG 70-10

Type 2) Engraved marking on top of drums:

ASIA

Packing:
The commodity was poured in the black appearance steel drums. Each drum has a lid on the top side.
Amongst the dimension checking of drums following figures were obtained:

Height of drums : 98.0 ± 0.5 Cm

Dia. of drums : 50.0 ± 0.5 Cm
Dia. of cap lid : 15.5 ± 0.5 Cm

Sampling:
Sampling was performed during stuffing the cargo into containers at warehouse, (The number of selected
drums:7 according to ASTM D140M–09, Standard Practice for Sampling Bituminous Materials).
Due to presenting cargo already packed in drums at the time of inspection, we’ve been restricted to take
the increments from top level of drums only.

All drawn samples were mixed well, and 4x1 L. Composite samples were prepared; distributed as follows:
-1x1 L. composite sample was dispatched to non SGS lab seal No.834813
-3x1 L. composite samples were retained by SGS for 90 days with SGS seal Nos.834814, 834815, 834816
& 834817

Analysis:
One composite sample was sent to non-SGS laboratory for the following items to be tested. The following

These findings are reported herein for convenience only and SGS has no liability for the subcontracted
results which remain with the lab.

Stuffing drums into containers:

-Each take of forklift discharged 8~12 drums which were directly stuffed into nominated containers. In each
container two tiers of drums were stuffed, in first tier 55 and second tier 55 drums were stuffed (Totally 110
drums in each container).

Stuffed containers:
The commodity was stuffed into 2 x 20 Ft. containers under our supervision as following:

Note:
-The floor of nominated empty containers was covered by a layer of P-E sheet.
-About 5 ~ 10 % of drums suffered from slight dents on bodies during stuffing operation. (This due to the
loading method performed by the manpower and machine/forklift, which the drums were in the sound
condition in an appearance before stuffing into containers).
