AFFIDAVIT OF EXPLANATION

I, HERMITO B. GABON, of legal age, married, Filipino, and a resident of Brgy. 13,
Catbalogan City, having been duly sworn to in accordance with the law do hereby depose and
state: that –

1. I am a self-employed businessman;

2. I received a copy of the letter from the Philippine National Police, Civil
Security Group, Regional Civil Security Unit 8, Camp Sec. Ruperto K.
Kangleon, Palo, Leyte dated 02 February 2023 hereto attached in this affidavit,
informing me that I failed to apply for the renewal of my firearm registration
on the due date, particularly described as follows:

MODEL: ARMSCOR
CALIBER: .45
SERIAL NO. 921793

3. Hence, my explanation; the subject firearm was already sold to Alex M. Lutao, of
legal age, married, Filipino, and with residence at Sitio Sto. Nińo, Brgy. San Andres,
Catbalogan City, on 22 January 2018 by virtue of the Notarized Deed of Sale dated
22 January 2018 thereby making ownership and possession of the subject firearm
transferred to Alex M. Lutao upon the execution of the said deed. A certified true
copy of the Deed of Sale dated 22 January 2018 is also attached to this affidavit;

4. I have no intention to delay, defy or disobey the provisions of the law specifically
Sec.19, R.A. No. 10591 but only due to valid reasons set forth;

5. I am executing this statement to attest to the truth of the foregoing, and in

compliance with the letter received from Philippine National Police, Civil Security
Group, Regional Civil Security Unit 8, Camp Sec. Ruperto K. Kangleon, Palo, Leyte
and for other legal purposes.
