● A check plus on the section is equivalent to three points, a check is equivalent to two points, and
a check minus is equivalent to one point.
● Many students did not hand in the assignment which skewed the results in the total and average
boxes above. Therefore, I created a new chart with just the students who completed it (attached
below).
● This chart shows that the students who completed the assignment understood the lesson. The
maximum points they could get in the characteristic and description section was a 3 and the class
average was a 2.75. Moreover, the maximum number of points students could receive is a 6 and
the class average was 5.5. I will use this information in planning my next steps.
● I would proceed from this lesson with an enrichment activity for the students who turned in the
assignment. The enrichment activity would allow the students to explore a dance from any of the
countries we investigated (United States, Brazil, and Russia). Students will share laptops to watch
the videos in class. Students will write a few sentences describing the dance and explaining the

they completed the assignment and forgot to hand it in to me I would grade it and assess if they
can proceed with the enrichment activity. If they did not hand in the assignment because they did
not understand it, I would work on a corrective activity with just them.
