➢ The meeting was commenced by the NSS representative Ms. Shreya Rai and over
75 volunteers had attended the meeting.
➢ It was resolved that the NSS Unit of Bunt Sangha’s S.M. Shetty College of
Science, Commerce and Management Studies will actively participate in the
“Beach Cleaning Program” which was in collaboration with “Khushiya
Foundation under the title of Beach Warriors.”
➢ The timing for the program was decided from morning 7:00 am to 10:00 am on
Sunday, 21st July 2019.

I am Varada Phadkay, a core member of Beach Warriors founded by Chinu Kwatra. I will
be leading the cleanup at Juhu Beach. Please find below the details and instructions for
the #BigMumbaiCleanup organized by Beach Warriors.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

Event: “Beach Cleaning Program”

Date: Sunday, 21st July 2019.
Venue: Matunga and Kanjurmarg
Timing: 7:00 am to 10:00 am
Objective: To encourage volunteers and everyone around us to perform such activities
and to spread awareness about how important it is to conduct beach clean-ups.
Highlight:
The NSS Unit of Bunt Sangha’s S.M. Shetty College of Science, Commerce, and
Management Studies had attended the “Beach Cleaning Program” in collaboration with
“Khushiya Foundation under the title of Beach Warriors.”

During this activity, there were 51 volunteers who had participated in this activity which
were divided into 2 teams, where 27 volunteers were in Matunga and 24 volunteers were
in Kanjurmarg.

Volunteers had enthusiastically participated in this activity. The activity commenced at

7:00 am and it was finished by 10:00 am. All the volunteers were provided refreshments
and certificates.
