YUVIKA - 2024

In a proud moment for Star Public School, three of our

outstanding students from Class IX, Prachi Chaubey,
Vivek Rai, and C. Bramhani Reddy, have been selected
for the prestigious YUVIKA program by the Indian Space
Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space
(DoS). YUVIKA, short for "Young Scientist Programme,"
aims to introduce young minds to the intricacies of Prachi Chaubey
space technology, science, and applications. ISRO's
initiative seeks to ignite curiosity and passion for space
exploration among students, laying a strong foundation
for future scientific endeavors.
The program is designed to engage students in
emerging trends in space science and technology, Vivek Rai
aligning with ISRO's vision to "Catch them young." By
fostering interest in STEM fields—Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics—YUVIKA aims to inspire
the next generation of scientists and innovators,
thereby contributing to India's scientific advancement
and development. We extend our heartfelt C. Bramhani Reddy
congratulations to Prachi, Vivek, and Bramhani on this
remarkable achievement, and we look forward to
witnessing their bright futures in the realm of space
science.

International Day of Forest
and
World Water Day

The introduction of LiFE by the Honorable Prime Minister at COP26 reflects a

significant commitment to promoting sustainable living practices and
environmental conservation on a global scale. By emphasizing mindful and
deliberate utilization over mindless consumption, LiFE aims to shift individual
and collective behavior towards lifestyles that are in harmony with nature.
Star Public School's initiative
in Lumshnong, Meghalaya, aligns
perfectly with the principles of
LiFE. Through activities focused
on forest and water conservation,
the school is not only educating
students about the importance of
environmental protection but also
empowering them to take action.
Creating posters and paintings,
taking oaths, singing songs, and
hosting expert talks all contribute
to raising awareness and
fostering a sense of responsibility
among students and the wider
community.

change and building a future where humans coexist harmoniously with the
environment. Star Public School's dedication to these initiatives serves as
an inspiring example of local action contributing to a global movement for
environmental preservation.

Programme

Star Public School took proactive steps towards promoting health and
wellness among its students through the School Health and Wellness
Program (SHWP). This initiative, integrated into the Ayushman Bharat

healthy behaviors among students.

The appointment of Mr. Thoungamba Thongam and Mrs. Puja Soni as

health and wellness ambassadors underscores the school's commitment to
this program. Their completion of the SHWP training modules, with eleven
certificates, demonstrates their dedication and readiness to lead health
initiatives within the school community.

health programs in schools, as mandated by the government, ensures the
quality and effectiveness of these initiatives. The involvement of certified
professionals such as Dr. Norin Marak, Smt. Jennyfer J. Synrem, and Dr.
Ashima Sarin adds credibility and expertise to the program, enhancing its
impact on student health and well-being.

By prioritizing health and wellness through initiatives like SHWP, Star

Public School is promoting a holistic approach to education that recognizes
