Section 1. Introductions
1.3 Ground / Manual Ground
1.3.1: Grounding
The ground is a law in almost of the countries for building. The facilities must have the live
ground connection. If not, it might be a problem of the laser parts (Laser source part is very
sensitive). It is the basic requirement of the regulation from CE.

110V 220V

Special socket and plug for 15A in the Middle East countries
Figure 1.3.1: Requirement for ground of electricity.

1.3.2: Manual grounding

If a building is too old to connect the ground, it must be connected between grounds of body
with other metal frame like metal window frame, air conditioner.
WARINING: If the device hasn’t been grounded, Bluecore Company Co., Ltd. doesn’t have a
responsibility against machine problem. (Out of warranty)

1.3.3: How to check the electric environment for the grounding

Before the installation of the device, the engineer must check the electricity of the building and
the facilities. Here are several steps and devices to do the test of actual grounding.

1) Test the normal grounds with a DC meter.

- Left: Check the voltage. It should be around 220V
- Middle: Connect one of probe of the DC meter to the ground. It should be around 0 (2.029V is
OK)
- Right: Connect another probe to the ground on the opposite side. It should be around 220V
(227.6V is OK)

1.3.4: How to install manual grounds

If a building is too old to connect the ground, it must be connected between grounds of body
with other metal frame like metal window frame or air conditioner.
1) Check the ground in the Electronic distribution panelboard as below picture.

Picture 1.3.4-1 Normal electronic distribution panelboard

CAUTION: Bluecore’s medical device engineer doesn’t have a responsibility for the electronic
environment. Call the building electronic engineer to solve this ground absence.
