The opening ceremonies unfolded with the harmonious strains of the Philippine national
anthem, the hymn of Bohol, and the cherished NCBII hymn. These cultural melodies set the
stage for a day that would traverse the corridors of time, paying homage to the rich tapestry
that binds the NCBII community together. Before the vibrant opening salvo by the performing
arts organization, a moment of spiritual grace unfolded with the doxology dance. This dance, a
graceful performance prepared by selected students from the performing arts organization,
added a layer of solemnity and reverence to the day, creating a bridge between the vibrant
celebrations and the deeper sense of community and purpose. Founder Restilou Q. Artiaga
graced the stage with a heartfelt message, reflecting on the journey of NCBII and inspiring
students to continue making history. His words added a profound layer to the day, emphasizing
the values and spirit that define the NCBII community. As the day progressed, the meticulously
designed decorations, crafted by the students themselves, became a portal to the past. The
venue, adorned with table skirting exuding retro elegance, created an immersive environment.
Students paraded their creativity with vintage outfits that paid homage to the iconic fashion
trends of the 80s and 90s, transforming the Carlos P. Garcia Multipurpose Center into a living
canvas of nostalgia. The dance floor emerged as a focal point of diversity and creativity, with
performances that mesmerized the audience. Judges, including old teachers Charley Vill Credo,
Lovely Joye Garcia, and Jepril Sambalud, observed keenly as Grade 12 Stem Sikatuna students
claimed victory. Their stellar performance, a fusion of great style and fun choreography,
perfectly synchronized with the playful notes of "Modelong Charing," presented moments of
humor without compromising on coordination and clean dancing. The award for the best
choreography, however, went to the talented performers from Grade 10 Del Pilar, who
demonstrated not only their passion for dance but also their ability to capture the essence of the
chosen decades through their movements.
As the clock approached 2:30 pm, the echoes of the hymns, the laughter, and the shared
experiences lingered in the air. The NCBII acquaintance party had not just celebrated the past
but had woven a tapestry of connections, unity, and style. Here's to the students, teachers,
coordinators, judges, MCs, and founder Restilou Q. Artiaga who collectively made this day a
timeless journey through elegance, nostalgia, and the enduring spirit of NCBII.
