LISTENING 1 SYLLABUS
(ATC PROGRAM)
1. Course description: Listening 1 is an integrated skill course but strongly emphasizes on listening
skills and strategies. Students will develop their comprehensive listening ability through thought-
provoking videos and real-life listening tasks which are provided in the course during 16 weeks. The main
content of this course is focused on 10 units of the core book with different topics.
2. Course objectives: By the end of the course, the students are expected to be able to
enrich a wide range of grammar and vocabulary related to certain topics such as animals, customs
and traditions, history, transport, environment, health and fitness, discovery an invention,
fashion, economics and the brain.
improve their listening skills such as taking notes, understanding key vocabulary, predicting
content, listening for detail, listening for main ideas, listening for opinion, listening for text
organization features.
to achieve level B1 (PET) in their listening competence.
