Performance Task 2
Assisting the cooperating teacher in the preparation and implementation of class
guidelines for holding classes distance learning modalities.
During asynchronous or modular class sessions, what routines can you suggest to the
parents so that their children will have more effective learning outcomes? Design an effective
class routine which parent can use at home.

For the parents, I suggest the following routines to make their children learn
meaningfully.
It’s important to keep their child on a routine while they are doing virtual class at home.
Routines Before Virtual Class
 Help the child to wake up at exactly 6’oclock in the morning enable them to prepare for
their virtual class.
 Have their breakfast and clean up before the virtual class.
 Prepare their clothes, school materials and all the digital tools.
 Prepare a quiet room and comfortable study space.
 Remind them about the rule and expectations on their class and also on their teacher.
Routines During Virtual Class
 Take a seat on their side enable to guide and not to coach them.
 Help them to focus and listen during the class by reiterating all the communications in the
online classroom enable them to understand it easily.
  Help them provide a common place and time for asking questions and responses from the
teacher.
Routines After Virtual Class
 Reiterate all the list of the necessary tasks and requirements enable for the students to
comply and submit it completely. Also, explain and give specific direction for all the
tasks and requirements.

Case No. 1
Jacob is a new student in your school.
He does not seem to fit well with other kids
who have already established friendships with
other kids. This results Jacob being aloof and
withdrawn. He does not participate in class
discussions and seems uncomfortable during
group activities. You know he is smart
because his written words are almost always
done perfectly. How will you help Jacob?
First, I suggest to have a classroom
environment that supports all pupils and make
sure that he has a consistent partner in all
group activities to improve his social skills.
Second, to boost and promote his confidence
by recognizing and praising him in all his
achievements and good deeds. Lastly, as a
teacher I suggest to set an example and show
empathy to him.

Case No. 2
Mia is a smart student, but is very
talkative. She is always talking out of turn and
this results in disruptions during class. She
usually tells her seatmates stories which are
irrelevant from the topic being discussed.
How will you help Mia?
First, I suggest to reenforce classroom
rules like no talking during teaching the
lesson because discipline is important in
classroom management. Second, I suggest to
use non-verbal cues to quiet her down. Third,
to motivate her to keep quiet I suggest to have
a point-based reward system. Lastly, give her
an extra work to do enable her to get busy and
always monitor her progress.

Having effective class routines and sound class structure is important because:
It will ensure the safeties and securities of the pupils. Through classroom routines and
sound class structure will provide pupils an organized and predictable environment. Well-
established and clearly defined classroom routines and sound class structure can positively affect
student’s behavior and it can strengthen the teacher-pupil relationships.
