FIM Europe – European Kawasaki Z Cup – Technical Rules

The following rules are intended to permit limited changes to the homologated motorcycle in the interest of safety.

EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT AUTHORISED AND PRESCRIBED IN THIS

RULE IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
If a change to a part or system is not specifically allowed in any of the following articles, then is forbidden

European Kawasaki Z-Cup motorcycles must be the Kawasaki model code ZR900BHF, black color form year
2017 version. All motorcycles must comply in every respect with all the requirements for road racing as specified
in these Technical Regulations, unless they are equipped as such as the homologated model.

1.1 Motorcycle specifications

All parts and systems not specifically mentioned in the following articles must remain as originally produced by the
manufacturer for the homologated motorcycle. As the category is based on single model from a single
manufacturer, the main technical changes from the homologated motorcycle, are related to the official “kit parts
assy” created by Kawasaki Motors Spain, described in the following articles.

1.2 Eligible Machines

The class will be based around the Kawasaki Z900 model (ZR900BHF) sold by Kawasaki Motors Spain (from now
KMES) by his dealer network.

1.3 Minimum weight

At any time of the event, the weight of the whole motorcycle (including the tank and its contents) must not be
lower than TBC

There is no tolerance on the minimum weight of the motorcycle.

During the final technical inspection at the end of the race, the selected motorcycles will be weighed in the
condition they finished the race, and the established weight limit must be met in this condition. Nothing may be
added to the motorcycle. This includes all fluids.

During the practice and qualifying sessions, riders may be asked to submit with this request.

The use of ballast is not allowed.

1.4 Numbers and plates

The background colors and figures (numbers) are white background with black numbers. As the base background
decals and figures are provided by KMES, the sizes are not allowed to be modified.

The allocated number (& plate) for the rider must be affixed on the motorcycle as KMES fix:

a. Once on the front, in the center of the front fairing.

b. Once on the rear, in the top area of passenger seat location.
c. These locations can’t be altered by participant.

1.5 Fuel

Only fuel of the current year from the appointed fuel supplier is permitted.

This fuel will conform to the FIM Grand Prix specification. Use of this fuel without any addition or alteration is
mandatory during all event (qualifying practices, warm-up and races).

3. Tighten strap securely.

4. With head forward, attempt to pull back of helmet to ensure helmet cannot be removed
this way.

5. Check ability to see clearly over shoulder.

6. Make sure nothing impedes your breathing in the helmet and never cover your nose or
mouth.

7. Never wear scarf around neck so that air is stopped from entering the helmet. Never wear
scarf under the retention strap.

8. Ensure that visor can be opened with one gloved hand.

9. Satisfy yourself that the back of your helmet is designed to protect your neck.
