(Apartheid)

Apartheid, a former social system In South Africa in which black people and people from
other racial groups did not have the same political and economic rights as white people
and were forced to live separately from white people . And I’m against of apartheid .

However Apartheid existed throughout South Africa but it became an official law ,
especially in 1950 , the government had banned marriages between whites and people
of other races . And the population registration act of 1950 provided the basic
framework for apartheid by race , including black Africans ( Bantu ) , Colored ( mixed
race ) and whites . A series of land acts set aside more than eighty percentage of the
country’s land for the white minority, and the rest were for non- whites people.

Obviously various reasons can be given for apartheid although they are all closely
linked . The main lie in ideas of racial superiority and fear . The other main reasons for it
was fear , as in South Africa , the white people are in minority, and many were worried
they will lose their jobs , culture and language.

Apartheid made the black tribes of South Africa be United and support each
other , stop being against and fighting together , lay down arms against each other ,
apartheid kept the black tribes of South Africa apart from each other long enough for
them to lay down arms against each other and bind together in a fight against the white
people .

At the era of apartheid , people from various nationalities lived there such as
( Indian , blacks, colored and white) , and their places were classified. But some think
that the black peoples township and neighborhoods were not deprived of houses ,
buildings , construction technique , and any services that normal life would need . But

this was not actually right about the quality of their life , it was some sort of strategy to
hide apartheids bad sides , and make it appears like there’s no issues with apartheid .

A generation of maladjusted children might be the result of apartheid ,

maladjusted children are those children who have been raised in a way that does not
prepare them well for the demands of life , as well apartheid has negatively effected the
lives of all South Africa’s children, especially for black ones. Poverty, racism, poor
education and prejudice have resulted this situation.

Ending of apartheid was gradually , they didn’t start war at first , they wanted to
treat that situation with peace. In 1991, the government of president F.W. De Klerk
began to repeal most of the laws that provided the basis for apartheid. Also the leader
of (ANC) Nelson Mandela released from prison in Feb 1990 , after Nelson Mandela
worked closely with president F.W de Klerk to drew up a new constitution , they
reached argument in 1993 . Finally the apartheid system in south Africa ended through
a series of negotiations between Nelson Mandela and de Klerk and they both would
share the Nobel peace prize that year (1993) for their efforts.

After apartheid there were so many crises face to the black part of South Africa.
Poverty, poor education, corruption and racial prejudice, still remain facts of life in
nation recovering from apartheid. South Africans living in the post apartheid era will
need to contend with these effects for decades.

I want to conclude this by some explanation about apartheid, Apartheid may have been
a horrible era in South African history, but only so because the whites were forced to
take action against the outrageous and threatening deeds of the blacks in order to
sustain their power. In the religion of Islam there is no racial discrimination because all
people are equal . The messenger of Allah, Muhammad said:
"‫”ال فرق بين عربي و ال أعجمي و ال أبيض وال أسود إال بالتقوى" حديث شريف‬
It means that there is no difference between Arabic and not Arabic People and between
white or black person, but except in piety.
