MEDIA SHARING ON iOS

Did you know you can share photos and videos in your

see your screen as you select media.

When you select a photo or video, it will become full


screen. You can tap on the photo or video to switch
places with it to become full-screen again.

Q: Can I broadcast to Facebook and Instagram Live at the same time?
A: Currently, you cannot broadcast live across Facebook and Instagram at the same time.

Q: Can I use Instagram Live through an API?


A: No — Instagram Live does not support APIs at this time. Live video is not meant to be used via services
or APIs that change the intended experience of the product. Unauthorized use of APIs and similar services
may lead to live videos being classified as spam or removed.

Q: Can I live stream from two accounts at once?


A: Streaming from two accounts is not possible at this time.

Q: Can I alert my followers to subscribe to my live videos?


A: Before your live, promote in Stories, using the countdown sticker. Your followers can sign up for a
reminder to tune into your live!

Q: How do I save my live views?


A: At the end of your live, take a screenshot of your analytics to save your view numbers.

LIVE WITH GUESTS


Q: How do I go live with up to three people?
A: There are two ways to broadcast Live with someone else on Instagram: You can invite someone to join
your live, or you can ask to join someone else’s live. Remember, you can go Live with only one other
account at a time. Step-by-step instructions here.

Q: Can I go live with more than one account?


A: Yes, now you can go live with up to 3 guests at once.

COMMENT MODERATION
Q: How can I moderate comments in live?
A: If you’re going live, you can turn off/on comments by tapping the “…” button in the comment field, or
access further comment moderation tools in your Settings. Remember, phrases or words you’ve filtered out
through keyword comment moderation will also be filtered from Live comments.

Q: If I’m hosting a live, can I turn comments on/off mid-broadcast?


A: If you tap “…” in the comments composer, you will receive an option to turn off/on comments.

LIVE ARCHIVE
Q: Will the live archive toggle default to on?
A: Yes - similar to how stories and feed posts archives work, the live archive toggle will default to on and
remain on unless the user toggles off. You will receive a “Introducing Live Archives” pop-up the first time
they open the live camera after launch. You can choose to opt-out from Live Archive in Camera settings.

Q: If my live is interrupted, will it automatically be saved to archive?


A: Yes, unless the archive button is toggled off for live streams.
