INTRODUCTION

In this investigation we will talk about Korean culture in order to learn more
about it as well as being informed about this country

We will talk about Geographic location, National flag, National currency,


Weather, Population, Language, Traditional cuisine, costume, Extreme sport
and Places to visit.
Geographic location

The Republic of Korea is a country in East Asia,


located in the southern part of the Korean
Peninsula. Korea encompasses about three
thousand islands that surround it, among which
Jeju, Ulleungdo and Dokdo stand out.
National flag

The Korean flag was created and used during


the Choseon dynasty.
It carries in its center the yang (red symbol)
means light and heat, the yin (blue symbol)
represents darkness and cold. The symbols that
surround the yin-yang are four of the four
essential symbols that symbolize heaven, water,
fire and earth. The white background means
peace.
National currency.

South Korean won is the national currency of


South Korea since 1945

The won circulates in coins of 10, 50, 100 and


500 and in bills of 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 and
50,000.
Weather.

Spring (March-May) is a bit cool, but soon


becomes mild. At the beginning of March,
however, the temperature is quite cold.
Summer (June-August) is sticky and hot, often
accompanied by quite a bit of wind for a month
starting in mid-June.
Autumn (September-November) is crisp and
refreshing, however in early September the
typhoon frequently attacks parts of South Korea.
Winter (December-February) is cold and dry.

Language.

His language is Korean and his writing is


Hangul.
Traditional costumes

The female Hanbok consists of a blouse with


wide sleeves and a long skirt.

In male Hanbok it is composed of a blouse and


very wide pants.
Extreme sport.

Hiking and rock climbing

The most practiced recreational activity in Korea


is hiking. The country has 21 national parks and
a much larger number of provincial parks with
thousands of trails, from comfortable half-day
walks such as Jeju's Olle trails
