Westcrest Council
Recycling Suggestions
© PAL
We all know it is important to recycle items such as plastic, glass and paper. It reduces waste and
helps to protect the environment.
Westcrest Council is pleased to announce that people in our area recycled over half of their
waste in the last 12 months. This is a fantastic achievement!
We want to install more recycling bins in the town centre and we need your suggestions. Would
people like recycling bins for clothes and shoes or would they prefer them for small electrical
equipment, such as printers, laptops and mobile phones? Or do you have any other ideas?
Please come and share your thoughts at a meeting this Thursday.
The meeting will be in the Town Hall from 8 pm to 9.30 pm.
All sensible suggestions will be considered.

Prepare to exercise
© PAL
Many people want to know how to prepare before they start to exercise.
These are my three top tips.
1. It is important to wear the correct clothing when you exercise. You do not have to be fashionable
but you need to be sensible. For example, if you want to go running, buy a pair of proper running
shoes to avoid getting painful feet.
2. Look for the best sports centre or club to join. It really helps to work out with other people. They
can offer support and help to keep you going.
3. It is best to eat food 1 to 3 hours before you exercise so you do not have a full stomach. Take a
bottle of water with you as you need to drink plenty during exercise.
Finally, remember to have fun and enjoy yourself. Exercise is a healthy habit to develop.
