THE RULES OF NETBALL

RULES OF NETBALL 2024

In

December 2023 World Netball (WN) has

launched the Rules of Netball 2024 Edition,
along with free educational rules resources.
The new rules will come into play for all
international matches from the 1st January
2024.

This comes after the WN Rules Advisory Panel

(RAP) completed an extensive 12 month Rules
Review process, which ended at Congress
2023 in Cape Town with the Members
approving the rules changes.

The rules changes focus speci_cally on player

safety and game management along with
clari_cation and streamlining of existing rules
such as contact and advantage. The layout of
the Rules has also been updated to simplify
and encourage use by all of the Netball Family,
not just umpires.

You can also download the Rules of Netball

App for free via Apple or Google Play Stores.
The App will be updated when the new rules
come into play from the 1st January 2024.

Please note rules book translations in multiple

languages will be made available in 2024. If
you have any further questions on the
translation of rules, please email
info@worldnetball.sport. Although the rules
come into effect internationally from 1st
January 2024, Member countries may plan
their domestic competition implementation
date up to 1st September 2024.

The Rules remain at all times the property of

WN and copies of the Rules downloaded here
are strictly not for sale or re-print. If you would

are available from the national netball
associations that are acliated with WN.
