2024 RULES AND REGULATIONS

Effective January 2024


• The Saskatoon Stock Car Association (SSCRA) will make Sutherland Automotive
Speedway available to race teams to rent for practice, testing, tuning, etc.

• A maximum of four cars of any division will be allowed during each rental period.
Additional cars will be charged $50 for a member and $100 for non-members per
car.

• The rental period is in four-hour blocks and the rental cost is $900 plus taxes for
each four-hour period.

• If the rental is by a SSCRA member, a 50% discount will apply for a rental rate of
$450 plus taxes. However, the four cars using the track will be restricted to cars
registered for local racing or an upcoming event. Any non-member/registered
cars appearing will incur a $100 surcharge above the $450.

• Track rental may be restricted prior to a special event. The Competition Director
and the event organizers shall make this decision on an individual event basis.
On special event weeks, the rentals will be limited to no later than 1:00pm on the
Thursday prior to the special event.

• Any additional time will be charged at a rate of $125/hour for members and
$250/hour for non-members.

• All cars must have a current safety tech sticker before going on the track. A
separate charge may apply to have this done if the car hasn't been tech'd this
year.

• Every race team shall have a minimum of one 5 lb fire extinguish each during
practice sessions. It must be readily available, not left in your trailer or toolbox.

• Only one race car is allowed on the track at a time. No person is allowed to cross
the track while a car is on the track.

• All regular safety rules apply during a rental period. Any driver on the track must
have their driver's suit, shoes and gloves on, a proper race helmet must be worn
along with head and neck restraint, seat belts must be used and window net up.
It is recommended the driver have radio contact with a spotter in the pits.

• Anytime a car is on the track, the pit entry gate must be closed or blocked and a
person must stand guard to ensure no one enters the track while a car is on the
track.

• All persons entering the track during a rental period must have a current waiver
filed with the SSCRA. This can be done electronically in advance.

• Any children attending during the rental period must be monitored and kept under
control. They must have a valid waiver signed by both parents/guardians.

• Race teams are responsible for cleaning up any oil spills or other fluids from the
track surface and pits. Teams are responsible for ensuring the track is always
safe. Cleaning up of an oil spill will not extend the rental period.

• No alcohol in the pits. No marijuana on the property.

• Do not leave any garbage or debris in the pits. Place it in the red bin by the gate
on your way out.
