Not applicable.

7 MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

7.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

All production materials shall be produced in the same manner as qualification

materials in accordance with the Process Control Document (PCD) as defined in
Section 8.3.
The material shall conform to AMS 4202, of the issue in effect at the time of
purchase, with the additions and exceptions listed in section 7.2 when tested per
AMS 2355.

7.2 PROPERTIES REQUIREMENTS

7.2.1 FRACTURE TOUGHNESS

Every lot of material shall be tested for fracture toughness per ASTM E399 for
thicknesses over 0.749 inch (19.02 mm) and shall meet the requirement of AMS
4202.
For plate over 0.249 inch to 0.749 inch (6.32 mm to 19.02 mm) inclusive, the
supplier shall guarantee fracture toughness per ASTM E561 to the requirements of
Table 1.

side shall be 0.120 inch (3.05 mm).

8 MATERIAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

8.1 REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION

All requests for qualification to this specification shall be addressed to

Bombardier Aerospace Materials and Processes Engineering (BAMPE) for
approval.
All material qualifications shall be site specific.
BAMPE reserves the right to perform an audit at the manufacture and/or test
facility prior to approval.

Control Document (PCD).
The PCD shall define the overall manufacturing process including statistical
process control, purchasing and acceptance of raw materials, processing
equipment, manufacturing process, process flow chart, batch/lot acceptance,
packaging, shipping, and quality control requirements for assuring consistent,
uniform and compliant products. All specifications and test procedures employed
during the process shall also be listed and issue/date controlled. All recorded data
shall be traceable to a batch/lot of material.
The PCD shall have a unique number relating to this specification and carry an
issue/revision status.
When qualification has been granted, the PCD shall be signed by both the
manufacturer and BAMPE and shall not be changed without prior written
approval.
The PCD and all production data shall be available to any Bombardier Aerospace
auditors when requested.

8.4 QUALIFICATION APPROVAL

Upon review of all test results, audit report and PCD, BAMPE shall advise in
writing Bombardier Aerospace Quality of the Technical acceptance of the
manufacturer and products. Qualified products to BAMS 516-002 shall be listed
in BAEMM-001. Only approved manufacturers listed in BAASL can be added to
BAEMM-001.
Sustained qualification is dependent upon the manufacturer meeting the
requirements of this specification as set forth by BAMPE. In event that the
manufacturer falls short of the requirements, BAMPE reserves the right to revoke
qualification status of the product through informing Bombardier Aerospace
Quality.
