SUBJECT: 3-Day In Service Training on the Higher Order Thinking Skills Professional
Learning Packages Cum Mid-Year Performance Review

DATE: January 19 , 2024

1. One of the provisions of R.A No. 10533 otherwise known as The Basic Education Act
of 2013 is to ensure that the enhanced basic education program meets the demand
for quality teachers and school leaders, thus the DepEd in collaboration with the
academe, and other institutions shall conduct an In- Service Training (INSET) on
Content and Pedagogy. It aims to retrain current Deped teachers to meet the
content and performance standards of the K to 12 curriculum.
2. The INSET to be undertaken on January 24-25 ,2024 will focus on the Higher Order
Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages which will be anchored to the
structure of the Observes Learning Outcomes (SOLO) Framework. In particular, the
SOLO levels provides concepts of teaching and learning that every teacher needs to
acquire and use accurately and consistently to improve the learners thinking and
understanding from simple to complex.
3. On the 3rd day of the INSET, January 26 will be the RPMS Midyear Performance
Review of the teaching and non-teaching staff. This will be an avenue for the
mentees and mentors to check and come-up with an agreement whether the 13
indicators/objectives prescribed in the PPST have been achieved or not during the
1st semester of the school year 2023-2024. A technical assistance shall also be
provided by the mentors to their mentees to improve the performance of the
mentees.
4. The snacks, meals and training supplies will be provided to all the participants and
facilitators for 3 days. The venue for the 1st and 2nd day of the INSET will be at the
school AVR and the 3rd day will be at the Monte Farm Resort, Brgy. Mejia, Ormoc
City.
5. All expenses to be incurred during the 3-day INSET shall be charged to the School
MOOE subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

PERFORMANCE PLANNING AND COMMITMENT FOR TEACHING AND NON-TEACHING
PERSONNEL

1. In compliance to Deped Order No. 2 s. 2015 “ Guidelines On The Establishment and


Implementation of the Results-Based Performance Management System (RPMS) in the
Department of Education and in consonance with Deped Order No. 42 s. 2017 on the
National Adoption and Implementation of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers
shall be based on the set of standards.
2. To comply the mandate of the Department of Education on the facilitation of the RPMS in
the field, this office announces the conduct of the RPMS Phase 1- Performance Planning and
Commitment through a LAC Session.
3. The RPMS Phase 1 shall focus on the identification of the objectives to be met, the required
competencies based on strategic priorities of the organization and the required means of
verification (MOVs) for the S.Y 2023-2024. All of these areas will be agreed between the

the Audio Visual Room for the Opening Program and for the break-out session the venue will
be in the different designated areas respectively.
4. The host and facilitators for this LAC Session are the English and Filipino Department
spearheaded by the Master Teachers II, Mrs. Erna P. Sanchez and Mr. Michael M. Poniente.
5. The participants, speakers and facilitators will be provided with snacks to be charged to the
School MOOE subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

1. Relative to Deped Order No. 009 S. 2023 entitled An Order Updating The Multi-Year
Implementing Guidelines On The Conduct of The K to 12 Basic Education Program End-Of-
School-Year Rites with the theme ‘ Gradweyt Ng K to 12: Hinubog ng Matatag na Edukasyon ‘
( K to 12 Graduates : Molded Through a Resilient Education), Linao National High School will
hold its Graduation and Moving- Up Ceremony on July 14, 2023, 1:00 P.M at Ormoc City
Superdome.
2. The EOSY theme emphasizes that graduation is not only a celebratory milestone but also a
symbol of resilience agency, and grit of Filipino learners honed by a solid basic education

Filipino learner’s achievement mirrors an education that succeeds amid all difficulties.
3. To make the conduct of the Graduation and Moving-Up Ceremony a remarkable and
successful in all aspects, The Office of the Principal supported by the Head Teachers inform
the field of the creation of the technical working group (TWG) to ensure that all
functions/tasks are being performed and supported by the assigned groups. Likewise,
calculated risks are managed and eliminated to produce job satisfaction.
4. The task assignment is based on the potential and expertise of each personnel. However,
should you have suggestion or recommendation of your assignment, budget, supplies feel
free to ask your School Head and coordinators.
5. To plan out things properly, a meeting is set on Friday, June 16, 2023, 3:00 P.M at the AVR.
6. Your duties and functions take effect immediately.
