WARBAND BACKGROUND: Nur Al-Din was hired many months ago by an Arabyan seeking wealth in Mordheim. Going by the name of
Al-Amin ('the Reliable One' in the Arabyan tongue), Nur Al-Din accepted his patronage and left the seas to pursue this new career. His skill
with a halberd were unmatched in this warband and the tales tell of his decapitation of a Rat Ogre, saving his new comrades from certain
death. However, the Golden Crescent Caravan parted ways soon after, as Al-Amin saw that he had gained enough wealth to return to Araby. As
Al-Amin's ship left the port, Nur Al-Din overheard a conversation he was having. It seemed he come to Mordheim to secure a dowry for a
princess back in Araby, cementing his position in the Arbyan nobility. Nur Al-Din was sickened, even more so when the coffins of Bilal, Al
Amin's longest friend, and Abu Talib, his brother, were carried past. It was then that Nur Al-Din's blood boiled and he decided to form The
White Quill Merchants to restore the honour that had been fouled by Al-Amin.

WARBAND BACKGROUND: Saint Gilles was once a great warrior in the service to Sigmar, but during his campaigns in Araby he
developed some...disturbing habits. His name is still used to strike fear into the village of Ma'arra where he first acquired the taste for flesh. A
witch hunt was planned for him though he never arrived at the Empires’ docks. It was rumored that he escaped with his most cunning followers
and fled to Sylvania. One of these was Firuz the Accursed, the descendant of a traitor who sold out his city to Saint Gilles in the Empire's
crusades. The human followers of The Everhunger were also once in the Empire's army, but defected to Sylvania after surrendering to the
Vampire Counts on the edge of Stirland. Rather than become dinner, they chose to join the ranks of the Undead, and have found that the life is
actually a lot better than the squalor of the Empire's army. Saint Gilles has been charged by the Von Carsteins to reclaim a lost Grimoire,
thought by them to be lost somewhere in Mordheim.

WARBAND BACKGROUND: Many years ago, Rask was the cheiftain of Clan Vermis, a Skaven Clan that rose to power quite quickly,
gaining a stronghold over a rich mineral deposit. This was noticed by a few of his neighbouring clans and they joined forces to capture his
domain and enslave his army. He was put to work in a massive slave train that ran all over the underworld of the Skaven, until he launched a
daring attack on his guards and managed to escape. They fled until they reached the surface near some ruined human city. One of the free
slaves approached him and threw off his cloak revealing white fur and scarred features, Rask had never seen this rat before. "Go there, bring
me the Warpstone, and I'll show you how to regain your lost power and bring vengeance to your enemies through Clan Eshin". The strange
Skaven then leapt away, dissapearing into the forest before anyone could think about following. Rask looked towards the city, sillhouetted
against against the dusky sky, and headed towards it...
