I have here an animal. What animal is this? (monkey) (In chavacano
chonggo, tagalog unggoy, English monkey, in Tausog amuh) Very good! How many
monkeys are there? (3). These 3 monkeys represent your group. Group 1, Group 2
and Group 3. What does monkey eat? (banana) So I have here Abdul’s mini farm
with banana trees. Let’s help Abdul feed the 3 monkeys. The group that will feed the
monkeys more will be the winner.

Before we will start, there are rules that we need to follow.

4. MOTIVATION

Fruit and Vegetables Stand

What can you see in the stand? (banana, mango, eggplant, okra) This
is the fruit stand of Abdul’s Family. Abdul is a kindergarten pupil. His teacher gave
them an assignment to bring 9 pcs of each fruit and vegetables. Let us find out
today what is the story about.

B. MODELING CONCRETE STAGE:


Abdul
Abdul is a kindergarten pupil. He loves going to school. He shows
interest and always do good in his studies. A day before, the teacher announced to
bring 9 pcs of each fruit and vegetables. Abdul together with his mother went to
their fruit and vegetables stand. Abdul got 9 banana, 9 mango, 9 eggplant and 9
okra on his basket. Because it was his favorite fruit and vegetables. Do you also eat
fruit and vegetables? Are these nutritious food?

SEMI- CONCRETE STAGE:


This time I will use the pictures of Abdul’s fruit and
vegetables 9 banana, 9 mangoes, 9 eggplant, 9 okra that Abdul
got on his basket. I will count 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 banana, mango,
eggplant, okra.

SEMI- ABSTRACT STAGE:


I have here another set of shapes. I will count and put
the numbers of one by one in each set of shapes. How
many are there in the set of circle? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.
How many are there in the set of tringle? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.

ABSTRACT STAGE:
Now I have here the symbol of number 9 and this is the
number word NUEVE. I will spell the word nueve N U E V E.

I have prepared some activities. But before we will proceed to our activity.
What are the things that we should remember while doing the activities?

Let’s remember these three things while doing the activity:

GROUP 1: FILL ME IN

Directions: Get 9 popsicle stick and place it on the cup. Follow the number
sequence from 1 to 9.
GROUP 2 : FEED ME

Directions: Feed the animals with their corresponding 9 foods.


GROUP 3: NUMBER 9 MOSAIC

DISCUSSION For group 1 activity, How many popsicle did you fill in?
For group 2 sctivity, How many fish did you feed the cat? How many bones did you
feed the dog? How many worm did you feed the fish?
Let’s back to the incentive chart, how many banana trees do we have in Abdul’s
farm? Let us count all. What is the number that comes after 8?

GENERALIZATION The number that comes after 8 is 9..


INDEPENDENT  Direction: Identify and color the raindrops with number 9.
