against the motion ‘the increase in the rate of unemployment is due to

advancements in technology ‘

Technology is a godsend gift to our civilization . We have overcome a

pandemic with the help of this very boon .Lets not forget that we are
able to connect with each other right now, with the help of this very
technology .And how ungrateful we are, that we know question this
very life saving gift, technology is a mere tool , it depends on us how
we use it . the motion here blames technology for unemployment, but
let me remind you that this very technology has also helped India
reach an outstanding place on the podium The IT sector of India has
bloomed in the past decade and has provided many with employment.
The true fact here is that technology is not stealing jobs it is just
shifting them. As long as there is technology, there will always be a
need for humans, for someone to operate it, to maintain it and to
develop it. One must have seen horrible headlines on newspapers
claiming that technology will soon steal many jobs. But one fails to
see that that very technology will create even more jobs than it
terminates. It is us the people who will have to adapt with time and
move ahead. We blame technology because it is the easy thing to do .
The more tough and arduous thing here is to embrace technology and
use it for the welfare of society. Technology is a great servant but a
very bad master and it is up to us to impose our dominance on this
servant of ours.
