Project Brief – ADAM 23.1 FT/PE

Introduction
The final project aims to use knowledge that students gain throughout the year in the real
world. As a designer, you will be able to understand the issues, gaps, opportunities, or needs in
the society you live in and implement creative solutions to overcome them.
The project mainly focuses on brand identity design, rebranding, AV production, UI/UX and
related areas for Advertising and Multimedia. You can select a client from the industry and
implement your design according to the client's needs.
This project consists of 5 phases, and you need to submit the requirements for each phase by
the given deadline.

Objectives of the project


- Use the knowledge and skill developed throughout the year to implement the final design

- Understand the client's requirement and research the background context

- Understanding the design process and following the process

- Developing communication skills, presentation skills, and visualization

Phase 1: Project Proposal


• You must select a client from any industry and clearly understand their requirements.
• Prepare a project proposal for their requirement.
• Submit your project proposal as a PDF and email the course director before the deadline.

Deadline for the project proposal: 13th February 2024

Phase 2: Presentation for the idea development
• Based on your project proposal select a theme or concept
• Start to ideate based on the concept or theme and come up with initial ideas.
• Prepare a PowerPoint Presentation and submit your ideas to the supervisor before the deadline.

Deadline for the idea development presentation: 27th of February 2024

Phase 3: Presentation for the design developments


• Develop prototypes or tryouts from initial ideas.
• Test the prototypes with the user or target audience.
• Identify the issues of your developments and make the improvements.
• Prepare a PowerPoint presentation and submit it to the supervisor before the deadline.

Deadline for the design development presentation: 19th of March 2024

Phase 4: Final submission


• Implement your final idea or the final execution.
• The final execution needs to be submitted to the course director before the given deadline.
• Submit all the previous works (working Journals, reports, prototypes, experiments) to course
director before the deadline.
• Requirements for the final submission:

▪ Project Report

Deadline for the final submission: 19th of April 2024

Phase 5: Viva Presentation


• Present your project for the viva panel.
• You need to prepare a PowerPoint presentation.
• You will have a maximum of 15 minutes to present.

Date for the Viva Presentation: 26th of April 2024

Marking Criteria
The project will be assessed throughout the process, and each phase contains a weightage for the final
mark.
