ASSIGNMENT 3- PROMOTIONAL VIDEO (35%)

OBJECTIVE:
To propose a promotional video for a company

Step 1: Form a Team & Select a local company

Task A: Form the Team


The team size is no fewer than four and no more than six students

Task B: Select a company


Choose any local company in your community

Step 2: Create a promotional video

Task A: Choose the theme for a promotional video


 The theme for a promotional video that you can choose as below:
- live cooking
- product showcase
- corporate video
 The video can be edited using apps such as inshot, Capcut, Tiktok, Video Maker, etc.

Task B: Prepare a report


 Describe a reason why you choose the theme
 Explain how your promotional video can attract potential customers and existing
customers
 Explain how the promotional video is relatable to the company’s tagline/slogan

Step 3: Submit the report

 Cover Page – include the name of your company, names of each member, matric no &
your program

Format of the Report:


Margins should be 1-inch top, bottom, right and left. Use headings and subheadings as
appropriate.Justify and spacing should be 1.5. Font Style & Size ;Times New Roman & 12.
Tape binding.

Format of the Promotional Video:


The duration of the video must be between 30-40 seconds.
The report page is between 8 -10 pages.
Grading of Group Projects
 Students are expected to contribute to group projects on an equal basis. Group
reports and presentations will receive a grade based on the work submitted by the
team. All individuals in the group will receive the group grade, provided they have
participated fully.
 If a member doesn’t take the project seriously (e.g., does not respond timely to
other members’ whatsaap,etc., does not attend the group meetings, is late to
meetings, doesn’t prepare anything meaningful for meetings, etc.), members can
collectively decide to FIRE that member from the group. The group should provide
the instructor with sufficient evidence early in the semester before firing a member.
 In the event an individual is fired, he or she may continue the project individually,
but will have their final grade on the written plan and video reduced by 5%
respectively.
