BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM
During covid many travellers from abroad came to India and
was difficult to trace them for many reasons. For example when
Chennai banned people from abroad, they arrived at a city
where there are no protocol and reached Chennai by rail or
road.

Due to this loophole, people Governments found it difficult to

trace people and many affected People went into unaffected
areas thereby increasing the spread of the Virus.

TYPE OF BLOCKCHAIN
Hybrid Blockchain-Public part can be used to record
travel-related data, such as flight information,
quarantine status, and test results. The
permissioned part of the hybrid blockchain can be
used to store sensitive personal information, such as
passport details and medical history.
 IDEATION OF PROJECT
Use of IS based Blockchain technology to
develop a system that improves the
traceability of people from abroad. This
involves the creation of an unique id to
each passenger and map their each
journey /stay/ visit thorough the unique id
in the Blockchain network throughout
their stay in India.
BENEFITS
Improved identification of sources which could help to exactly
find any viral outbreak and also identify who would be in contact
with the affected person.
Helps in reducing the crime associated with Foreigners by
increasing traceability by integrating all travel systems together.
Another benefit we could achieve is we are developing an
infrastructure where one could get a single portal to book his
entire journey. For example if a person is willing to travel from
Mumbai to Salem. He has to book Flight ticket from Mumbai to
Chennai in Indigo or MakeMyTrip website, then a train ticket
from Chennai to Salem in IRCTC website or a Bus ticket on
RedBus. If each of these platforms are integrated in the portal a
single window could be used for booking any journey.
Also, we could identify the travel pattern across the Country
thereby helping in framing policy to develop required
infrastructure.
 Features of the product
The product will have the following features:
A function to add travel records of each traveller with a unique ID and other details like country
of origin, date of travel, mode of transport, etc.
A function to retrieve the travel records of a particular traveller based on their unique ID.
A function to update the travel records of a particular traveller.
 Stakeholders
Travellers: They would be responsible for providing their travel details to be recorded on the
blockchain.
Authorities: They would be responsible for accessing the travel records on the blockchain to
track the movement of travellers and ensure compliance with regulations.
Developers: They would be responsible for developing and maintaining the blockchain code.
 Working
The blockchain network would be deployed, and each travel record would be added to the
blockchain as a new block.

The use of a blockchain ensures the immutability and security of the travel records, preventing
any unauthorized modifications.

The authorities can access the travel records of a particular traveller by providing their unique
ID(Aadhaar ID can be used in case of Indian travellers and Passport details can be used as the
unique ID for foreign travellers), and the netwrok would return all the details recorded for that
traveller.

In summary, this smart contract provides a secure and efficient way of recording and accessing
the travel records of travellers, thereby improving traceability.
 Use cases
The blockchain can be used to track the arrival and deprture of foreign
travellers, providing a transparent and immutable record of their
movements in the country

It can also be used to track the health information of foreign travelers,

ensuring that they are not carrying any infectious diseases and helping to
prevent the spread of diseases

The technology can be leveraged to collect data on the travel patterns of

foreign travelers, and use this information to provide a personalized travel
recommendations for them
