Presentation Topic: France

France is one of the most important countries in the western world,


and its capital is Paris. It is characterized by the most important
agricultural and industrial products. It is the country that is visited by
most tourists in the world.

This is the flag of France

France, in Western Europe, encompasses medieval cities, alpine villages
and Mediterranean beaches. Paris, its capital, is famed for its fashion
houses, classical art museums including the Louvre and monuments like
the Eiffel Tower. The country is also renowned for its wines and
sophisticated cuisine.
France Population
Population: 67.39 million in France
France has 18 regions (including five situated overseas). The largest are:

Paris: 12.1 million


Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes: 7.9 million
Hauts-de-France: 6.0 million
The largest overseas region is Réunion with 843,000 people.
Most populous cities in France
With 2.2 million people, Paris is the largest city in France. It’s followed
by Marseille with 851,000 and Lyon with 484,000 people. Counting the
whole metropolitan / urban area Paris has over 12 million inhabitants.

Language
Language France is the official language, and Modern language France
is taught in schools

French, the official language, is the first language of 88% of the


population. Most of those who speak minority languages also speak
French, as the minority languages are given no legal recognition. 3% of
the population speak German dialects, predominantly in the eastern
provinces of Alsace-Lorraine and Moselle.

The Museum of the Louvre: It is one of the most important museums


around the world, and includes in his exhibition more than a million
pieces of antique and rare paintings.
Champs-Elysées: Pariss most famous street, the busiest of tourists from
all over the world; there are many international shops and exclusive
cafés that have given it a special bustling nature.
