COURSE DESCRIPTION
Public Speaking is at level 200 and an optional course for General Studies Concentration students. The
course focuses on the practical skill of public speaking including techniques to manage speaker
nervousness, to speak with confidence, to reach the audience, to organize and deliver the speech and to
distinguish the types of public speaking.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Public Speaking (SPCH 201) helps students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to speak
effectively in public presentation including good content, organization, delivery, audience, and analysis
in both verbal and non-verbal communications
