Introduction: The CPCL Super 30 initiative aimed at providing educational opportunities to underprivileged and economically weaker section (EWS) students aspiring for admissions through JEE Main and Advance, has made significant strides in its implementation and outreach efforts during the months of March and April 2024. Key Activities and Achievements: 1. Training and Initiation: The CSRL Selected Project Manager & Project Officer inaugurated the project on 6th March 2024, in Delhi, followed by training at the Kanpur training center. After completing a 5-day internship training, temporary office administration and communication work commenced at Meenambakkam near to Chennai Airport. 2. Awareness Campaigns: Leaflet distribution campaigns were conducted on March 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12 at JEE Examination Centers through the 8 promoters designated for the project objectives and the benefits to the Parents and Students. Visits were made to schools in Manali, Thiruvetiur, Ennore, where the CPCL Super 30 team meet with HMs and explained about the CPCL Super - 30 project and its admission process to underprivileged and EWS students aspiring for the JEE exams. 3. School Visits and Enrolment: Visits were made to St. Mary's HSS, VC HSS, American College HSS, Sethupathy HSS at Madurai to enroll students in the CPCL Super - 30 project. Despite being government and government-aided schools, offline exams were recommended over CBT, with letters distributed to government and school HMs. A total of 260 schools were covered, with official letters dispatched to all district collectors in Tamil Nadu as part of promotion activities. 4. Strategic Meetings: Meetings were held with CPCL higher officials on 6th April in Manali, attended by Tugin Thatten & Mr. Gomes Raj, and Mr. Prem Chand, Chief General Manager at the CPCL office in Tenampet. Discussions included future plans and actions, with a focus on finalizing residential training arrangements and advertisement strategies. Upcoming Plans: 1. Finalizing Residential Training: Plans are underway to finalize residential training arrangements for the 30 students. 2. Advertisement Campaigns: Advertisement slots in English and Tamil language daily newspapers are scheduled for May 6, 12, 19, and 26, 2024. Additionally, preparations for offline question papers are underway, awaiting approval from the head office. 3. School Visits and Enrolment Drive: Future visits to government and aided HRSS schools in Kanchipurathura, Chengalpattu, and Villupuram are planned. Telecallers have already contacted 1,250 students for enrollment, with 4 students registered for the offline examination. Conclusion: The CPCL Super 30 project has made commendable progress in its mission to provide educational opportunities to deserving students. With strategic planning and continued efforts, it aims to achieve its objectives and make a meaningful impact on the lives of underprivileged youth aspiring for higher education.
