The given maps illustrate the future development of the town of Norbiton.
Overall, the town will undergo several changes, the most significant of which will be the transformation of an
industrial area to a residential area.
All the factories which currently sit along the road and the roundabout will be replaced by residential buildings and
other amenities in the future. Shops will be built to the southwest of the big roundabout, while a new medical
centre will be located to its southeast. Meanwhile, a school will be constructed to the east of the roundabout, at the
end of the road, in the middle of which will stand a new playground.
At present, there are only two roads entering the roundabout, but it will be busier in the future, with four converging
roads in total. In addition, a mini-roundabout will be installed to the south of the current one, while a new T-junction
will also be constructed across the river to the north to provide access to more housing that will be constructed on
that side.

Dàn bài
Bài mẫu
Some people believe that it's important to take risks, both in their career and personal life. Although risky
behaviours can sometimes lead to unpleasant consequences, I firmly believe that the advantages of taking risks
outweigh the drawbacks
On the one hand, taking risks can result in all sorts of negative outcomes, including physical injury and financial
loss. The former can be seen in extreme sports, which usually require people to engage in high-risk activities,
like bungee jumping and skydiving. Although those who take part in such sports get to enjoy the thrill of a once-in-
a-lifetime experience, they are also faced with the risk of life-threatening injuries and even death. In business,
high-risk investments may either offer the chance of significant returns or devastating losses. In the latter case,
the company may lose substantial amounts of money and even face bankruptcy.
On the other hand, taking risks on a personal level can generate more opportunities. It pushes people to get out of
their comfort zone and explore new possibilities, which enables them to achieve what they may initially consider
to be impossible. This is evidenced in the case of Bill Gates, who risked dropping out of Harvard University, but
later became the richest man in the world by creating software for personal computers. From a professional
standpoint, hiring employees that are willing to take risks can drive faster business growth. More specifically, such
employees can discover new and innovative ways of working, thus improving productivity and reducing costs for
the company.
In conclusion, while taking risks may produce unfortunate results in some cases, I believe the advantages usually
far outweigh the disadvantages.
1. What did you study in history lessons when you were at school?
Well, I can't really remember much about my history lessons to be honest, I think I found them quite boring I
suppose. I do remember learning about the history of my country though, and how it was formed. History is not a
subject that I've ever been very knowledgeable in, though I did enjoy watching a on YouTube recently.
2. Did you enjoy studying history at school? [Why?/Why not?]
No not really, in fact I can't remember diddly-squat from history classes in school, so I think my teacher must not
have been very good. He obviously didn't manage to capture my attention for very long. I guess history is one of
the hardest subjects to teach, cause it is just so inherently boring isn't it.
3. How often do you watch TV programmes about history now? [Why?/Why not?]
Not very often at all actually. However, as I mentioned before, I did watch a great little history series on Youtube
recently. I think it was called Crash Course: World History. There were about 40 episodes or so, but they only went
for 10-15 minutes each, so along with the great animation, it actually grabbed my attention for long enough to watch
one or two episodes a day.
4. What period in history would you like to learn more about? [Why?/Why not?]
Well, I've never really thought about that before, because history isn't really my thing, but I suppose that the
mediaeval period fascinates me a little. I do love watching movies set in that time period. Blockbuster movies like
Braveheart, Robinhood, and King Arthur. Back when you had to travel everywhere by horse and there were no
modern day appliances or electricity.
PART 2
Describe the neighbourhood you lived in when you were a child.
You should say:
• where in the your town/city the neighbourhood was
• what kind of people lived there
• what it was like to live in this neighbourhood
and explain whether you would like to live in this neighbourhood in the future.
Bài mẫu
Well, fortunately for me, I grew up in a nice and peaceful suburb of Hanoi, called Quang An. The suburb is located
next to West Lake, which is on the northern side of the old city. My neighbourhood is located just a couple of streets
from the lake, so it was pretty quiet and peaceful there when I was growing up. I guess just regular people lived
there in the past, probably some important government people also I suppose because it's not too far from a lot of
the government offices in town. Most people were nice and friendly in my neighbourhood, and most people knew
each other in my street, not like today. Nowadays there is a lot of real estate development in the city and my
suburb has become quite a sought-after area to live, particularly by a lot of foreigners who live and work in Hanoi. I
guess they like living there because it is quite a central location, and has all the facilities that people need, and a
lively nightlife with nice restaurants, bars and cafes. When I was growing up it was really peaceful in that area
because it is next to the lake, and there wasn't as much construction there like there is today. There weren't as
many people living there when I was growing up either, it wasn't really considered a trendy place, like it is today.
I guess I would still like to live in this neighbourhood in the future because even though there is a lot of construction
there these days, it is still quite a peaceful place to live because you can always go for a stroll by the lake which is
usually pretty quiet. The only downside to living in this part of town these days is the influx of foreigners coming to
live here, which drives the price of real estate through the roof. Luckily for me my parents own a house here, so
I can always stay there with them until I can afford my own place.
PART 3
Discussion Topics: Neighbours
Well I suppose there are a few common things that neighbours might do to help each other out. For example,
when you are cooking something but you have run out of some common ingredient and it's too late to go to the
shop, then maybe you can ask your neighbour to lend you some. Also it's quite common for neighbours to keep
an eye on each other's places, you know, to look out for thieves and things like that. Robberies aren't too common
in my neighbourhood but they do happen occasionally. When I was young, my mother used to look after our
neighbour's dog sometimes too, when they went away on holiday somewhere. I'm sure there are a million more
things that good neighbours can do for each other.
2. How well do people generally know their neighbours in your country?
I think that depends on whether you live in the city or in the countryside, or even whether you live in a house or live
in an apartment building. You know, people who live in the countryside often know their neighbours quite well I
think. Probably because they see them more often, and because there are less people living in the countryside, so
people tend to know a lot more people in their neighbourhood or village. In the city though, people don't always
know their neighbours very well, especially if they live in an apartment building with squillions of other people. I
guess when you live in an apartment building you just don't see your neighbours very often, so you don't get much
chance to socialise at all.
3. How important do you think it is to have good neighbours?
Well, I guess it's quite important really. I mean, nobody wants to live next door to bad neighbours do they? People
naturally prefer to live next door to someone that they can trust, or depend on when times are tough. Or
someone that is respectful and doesn't make loud noises all the time, or play music loudly when you are trying to
go to sleep. I guess in an ideal world you would be great friends with all the people in your neighbourhood.

The table and charts show data about sources of police funding and how the money was spent in a region of Britain
in 2017 and 2018.
It is clear that there was a slight increase in the police budget between 2017 and 2018, and that the national
government was the largest source of funding. It can also be seen that the greatest expenditure was staff
salaries.
In 2017, the national government funded the majority of the police budget, with an input of £175.5m. The funding
from local taxes and other sources was much lower, at £91.2m and £38m respectively. The following year, the total
funding increased from £304.7m (2017) to £318.6m (2018), while the government remained as the largest
contributor of all funding sources.
In terms of expenditures, salaries made up by far the highest proportion of police spending, at 75% in 2017. The
total expenditure on technology, buildings and transport, made up the remaining 25%. In 2018, the expenditure on
staff salaries decreased by 6%, while the amount spent on technology rose from 8% to 14%, and the figure for
buildings and transport remained the same over the two-year period, at 17%.

It is true that many children nowadays spend a huge amount of time each day staring at their smartphones. In my
opinion, there are several reasons for this, and I consider it to be a very negative trend.
There are several reasons why screen time has increased for many children in recent years. Firstly, smartphones
are portable devices which allow children to do lots of things, such as playing video games and watching cartoons.
Children might find these applications extremely addictive and thus be glued to the screen for hours a day.
Another reason for this trend is that children who lack parental attention tend to be on their phones all the time.
Many busy parents nowadays find it hard to spend time playing with their children and end up telling them to watch
YouTube or TikTok videos on their phones instead.
In my opinion, the development described above can have several detrimental impacts on children. One evident
disadvantage is that smartphone addiction can affect students' academic performance. For example, homework
is often put off for a few more hours of video games, while reading books can be replaced by watching TikTok
videos or scrolling social media. Moreover, excessive screen time is one of the leading causes of vision problems.
Children can suffer from eye strain or dry eyes, which can lead to long-term damage of the eyes. The rise in obesity
due to sedentary lifestyles can also be associated with smartphone addiction and a lack of exercise among
children.
In conclusion, various functions of smartphones and the lack of attention from parents are the two main reasons
why some children tend to be addicted to smartphones, and I believe that this development should be seen as
harmful.
1. Did you have a favourite book when you were a child? [Why?/Why not?]
I don't think so actually. I had a lot of books when I was young because my mother bought them for us as kids, but there's
no particular book that stands out as a favourite. I suppose my favourite book was Where's Wally, but that's not really a
book for reading, it is more of a cartoon book where you try to find a man in a red and white striped shirt amongst a busy
scene of people. I could look at those books for hours on end when I was a kid.
PART 2
Describe a big city you would like to visit.
You should say:
• which big city you would like to visit
• how you would travel there
• what you would do there
and explain why you would like to visit this big city.
Bài mẫu
Well I'm not usually interested in visiting big cities but I guess if I had to choose one then I would probably like to
visit New York City. Out of all the big cities in the world, I think the Manhattan skyline is probably the most well
known. To get there I would definitely need to travel by plane, as it would be the simplest option. I think there would
be heaps of things to do in New York but one of the main things that I would like to do there is to stroll around
Manhattan island to see all the skyscrapers and interesting architecture. New York city is steeped in modern
architecture, which is something that really fascinates me. I would love to walk around the city for days taking
pictures. Street photography is one of my hobbies. I would also love to visit Central park. I've only seen pictures
of it on the internet but it looks like a great big green space right in the middle of all the skyscrapers. It's so big, I
think there is even a golf course there. I think the park would be a necessary feature of a city so densely
populated. I guess there would be thousands of other things to do and see in New York, such as visit the Statue of
Liberty, see the Empire State building, go on a cruise in the evening to see the city skyline all lit up. Maybe even
catch an NBA basketball game at Madison Square Garden, or take a walk around Times Square in the evening
when all the neon signs are lit up. In a city so big, I'm sure there are endless things to do.
I guess the main reason why I would like to visit New York is really because of the architecture. I've always had an
interest in architecture, and New York is full of so many great buildings and examples of different styles of
architecture. There's also something about big cities that fascinates me too, but I can't put my finger on what it is
exactly.
PART 3
Discussion Topics:Visiting cities on holidays
1. What are the most interesting things to do while visiting cities on holiday?
Well I guess that depends on which city it is, because all cities have their own special characteristics and
attractions, but I suppose there would be a lot of similar things to do in most cities. Like seeing the local
attractions, for example. That could be a temple, or church, or museum, or special building of some kind, like the
Eiffel Tower in Paris, or the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Sydney. These kinds of famous landmarks always draw a
big crowd of tourists. Most cities tend to have an exciting nightlife also, with an array of restaurants, bars, clubs
and cafes to visit. I guess most major cities in a country are rich in local culture too, so that's always something
that people want to experience.
2. Why can it be expensive to visit cities on holiday?
I suppose the main reason for that is simply because cities are generally more expensive places than small towns
and in the countryside. The cost of real estate is usually more in the city because of the high demand of people
wanting to live there. So that naturally drives the prices of everything else up I guess. Paying for a hotel in a
large city can cost an arm and a leg, so you must budget your money wisely when visiting one for a holiday.
3. Do you think it is better to visit cities alone or in a group with friends?
Well, personally I like to travel solo. It's much easier to travel alone because you don't need to worry about
coordinating your itinerary with your friends, which can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. I think you can get more
things done if you are alone too, because when you travel with friends you are always having to wait for one of
them to do something. However, it can be fun to travel with friends sometimes, especially if there is a specific event
that you are going to with them, like a big sports game or theatre performance.

The bar chart illustrates the average weekly expenses of families in an unspecified country in 1968 and 2018.
Overall, spending on housing, transport and leisure increased, while the opposite was true for other categories,
with the exception of household goods. Meanwhile, the largest proportion of weekly income was spent on food in
1968, and on leisure in 2018.
In 1968, food made up the highest proportion of total expenditure, at 35%, decreasing significantly to around half
that figure 50 years later. A similar trend was seen in the percentage of expenditure on personal goods, and
clothing and footwear, with the initial figures in 1968 of 10% and 7% respectively. Likewise, the figures for fuel and
power spending dropped slightly from 6% to 4% of the total expenditure.
One-tenth of the weekly expenditure was housing in 1968, almost doubling 50 years later. Similarly, the figures
for transport and leisure were almost the same, at approximately 8% in 1968, after which they increased to 14%
and 22% respectively, in 2018. Meanwhile, the figure for household goods remained stable at 8% over the period.

The idea that certain professionals should be obliged to work in their country of education has attracted lots of
attention recently. While some people think it is essential for these workers to stay in the country that educates
them, I believe that choice should not be limited to just one nation.
Some people believe that students should be obliged to repay the efforts of the country that has educated them
by having them work in that country to build their career. The education system of a nation is usually partly funded
by the government, which essentially means that the government is investing in all students attending those
schools. In other words, as most educational institutions and universities are government funded, or at least partly
funded, professionals indirectly receive government support during their education. Therefore, after becoming well-
equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to begin their careers, these students are then expected to use
their expertise to help develop the country in which they were educated, in order to give back to the nation.
However, I think that forcing people to stay in a particular country goes against the values of a free and fair
society. People should have the freedom to select what is most suitable for themselves, including where they want
to live and work. Failing to achieve this might lead to resentment among workers, who may feel they are being
taken advantage of. This may result in low work motivation, negatively affecting their work performance and
productivity. In contrast, if professionals can freely select their workplace, they may be keener on devoting
themselves to their work, which may boost their job satisfaction, resulting in better work outcomes.
In conclusion, it is true that highly skilled workers should shoulder the responsibility of developing the country that
supports their study. However, I think requiring them to stay in one particular country is counterproductive as they
may resent working there. Thus, the choice should be up to each individual so that they can comfortably contribute
to society.
PART 2
Describe a monument (statue or sculpture) that you like.
You should say:
• what this monument is
• where this monument is
• what it looks like
and explain why you like this monument.
Bài mẫu
Ok, so I'm going to talk about one of the most famous and most recognisable landmarks in the world, and that is
the Statue of Liberty, located in New York City. I think just about everybody knows this statue and associates it
with freedom, or America, or New York City, or something like that. I think it's actually located on its own island,
called Liberty Island, which is not too far from Manhattan where all the skyscrapers are in New York. I think to get
to the monument, you have to catch a ferry. And I think a lot of people go there each year, as it's one of the most
famous tourist attractions in New York City. As far as I know, the monument was given to America as a gift by the
French, and it became a symbol of freedom in America and a welcome to immigrants arriving by sea. And I think
it is made of copper, so it must be extremely heavy because I think it is about 30 to 40 metres tall. So, to describe
the monument, I would say that it is a statue of a woman, a Roman liberty goddess to be more specific, dressed in
a robe, wearing a crown, holding a flame torch in one hand above her head, and a book with some dates inscribed
on its open pages. I'm not sure what the dates signify though. Another interesting fact about this statue is that it
used to be a kind of reddish-brown colour, like the colour of copper, but over time, the metal had some chemical
reactions with the surrounding air and water and it has turned green now. Quite fascinating I think.
Anyway, so I think the main reasons why I like this monument is because it actually has some interesting history,
and it seems to have a lot of significance to American people and their sense of freedom. It also looks pretty
cool, and if I ever went to New York City I would definitely go to this monument and walk up inside to the lookout in
the statue's crown. The view would be amazing I am sure.
PART 3
Discussion Topics: Public monuments
1. What kinds of monuments do tourists in your country enjoy visiting?
Well I'd have to say that I don't really think people in my country actually enjoy visiting monuments or statues. My
country only has a very short history, and there really aren't many famous statues or monuments that I know of. It's
not like in Europe, where the countries are steeped in rich history and culture. I think tourists in my country tend
to be more interested in the natural beauty of the spectacular landscapes and natural attractions here.
2. Why do you think there are often statues of famous people in public places?
I suppose that would be to commemorate the people the statues are made of. I guess they are there to teach
people about certain historical events or important people from the past. So that people have a better
understanding of their country's own history and culture. I think that kind of thing is very important in creating a
sense of solidarity amongst citizens of a country. You know, it kind of gives people a common ground to unify
them. I guess statues and monuments can also be used to decorate public areas as well. They can give a space a
certain atmosphere I suppose.
3 .Do you agree that old monuments and buildings should always be preserved?
Well usually I think we should preserve them but I guess it really depends on what the building or monument is. I
think it's important to preserve history, and evidence of history also, not just what's written in the textbooks.
However, if the building doesn't have much history or significance, or it just looks absolutely hideous, then I
guess it would be ok to knock it down.

The chart gives information about the number of shop closures and openings in a particular country over an 8-year
period.
Overall, the figures show a downward trend over the given period, with significant fluctuations in the figures for
both categories.
In 2011, about 6,400 shops closed, with the number varying mildly over the following four years. By 2015, the
number of shop closures had fallen dramatically to just over 500 shops. Rising back up to approximately 5,200
shops in the following year, the figure for closures then remained quite stable, at around 5,000 from 2016 to
2018.
On the other hand, almost 8,500 new shops opened in 2011. The figure for shop openings then fell considerably to
around half that amount the following year, before rebounding to over 6,000 in 2014. This figure then dropped to
the 2012 level and remained stable for the next two years before falling to 3,000 at the end of the period.
Từ vựng cần lưu ý:
• a downward trend: xu hướng giảm
• significant fluctuation: dao động lớn
• vary mildly: thay đổi nhẹ
• fall dramatically: giám mạnh

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of individuals avoiding visits to the doctor and turning to
alternative therapies. Although I accept that these methods can benefit patients, I would argue that there are far
more drawbacks.
People nowadays tend to use alternative therapies, such as herbal products, due to several reasons. To begin
with, such treatments can cure disease without all the potential side effects of other modern medicines, whose
continued use can lead to issues such as liver damage. Alternative medicines are largely based on natural
products, like oils and herbs, so they are less likely to contain substances which may be harmful to the patient with
long term use. Another benefit of alternative treatments is that they are usually cheaper and more convenient than
modern medical care. For example, patients can do yoga or get a massage at home, while medicinal plants like
ginger and green tea can be grown in their gardens for free.
Despite the above-mentioned benefits, I believe that this trend is negative for various reasons. Firstly, not all
alternative therapies are effective, since there is not enough scientific evidence to prove the efficiency and
effectiveness of such treatments. Therefore, patients might not recover from their illness, and end up wasting their
time and money. Secondly, acute diseases and serious injuries are better treated with modern medicine because
the recovery time when using alternative cures is often much longer than when using modern medicines. Finally,
health problems can sometimes even get worse due to the misuse of alternative medicine, or misdiagnosis by
friends or relatives. For instance, the idea of putting toothpaste on burns actually only aggravates the problem.
In conclusion, while I recognise the possible benefits of alternative therapies, I consider it to be an undesirable
development overall.
Từ vựng cần lưu ý:
• herbal products: dược liệu
• long term use: sử dụng lâu dài
• medicinal plants: cây thuốc
• acute diseases: bệnh cấp tính
• misuse: dùng sai
• aggravate: làm trâm trọng thêm
TEST 4
PART 1
SPEAKING
Topic: Maps
1. Do you think it's better to use a paper map or a map on your phone? [Why?]
Well I don't think anyone really uses a paper map these days, unless they are going hiking in a remote place where there
is no phone signal. I mean, there are countless reasons why a map on your phone is better. They're updated regularly,
there is usually a built-in navigation function, and the app can even tell you how long it will take you to get to your
destination, whether you are walking, riding a bicycle or driving a car.
2. When was the last time you needed to use a map? [Why?/Why not?]
Well I use the Google Maps app on my phone all the time. At least a couple times a week. I like to use it to know how long
it's going to take me to get somewhere, because the app can tell you if there are any traffic jams or construction on the
road that might affect your journey. In terms of using a map for navigation, I pretty much use one everytime I go to a
big city, because getting from A to B in an unfamiliar city in peak hour traffic can be an absolute nightmare.
3. If you visit a new city, do you always use a map to find your way around? [Why?/Why not?]
Yes definitely. I love exploring new cities, and I always use my trusty old Google Maps app to get me around. Although I
do like using a paper map sometimes when you go to a new city and you can get a map of the local area which shows
you all the attractions and things like that. In saying that though, I do sometimes like to just put my phone or map away
and wander around exploring new places, you know, just following my nose. You can really surprise yourself
sometimes with what you find. Like one time when I was wandering around Amsterdam without a map and stumbled
upon the red light district. That was an interesting experience.
4. In general, do you find it easy to read maps? [Why?/Why not?]
Yes. I think some people's brains are wired better for reading maps, while other people just can't tell which way is up
or down. I think I have a pretty good ability to read maps, it kind of seems like a fairly logical skill.
Từ vựng cần lưu ý:
• a remote place: một nơi xa xôi, hẻo lánh
• Countless (a): vô số
• a built-in function: chức năng tích hợp
• to get to your destination: tới điểm đến
• traffic jam: kẹt xe
• journey (n): hành trình
• navigation (n): điều hướng
• peak hour traffic: giao thông giờ cao điểm
• a nightmare (n): cơn ác mộng
• exploring new cities: khám phá thành phố mới
• In saying that though: mặc dù nói như thế
• to wander around: đi lang thang, tản bộ
• to follow your nose: đi thẳng
• to stumble upon smth: tình cờ gặp được
• someone's brain is wired for smth: có khả năng tốt trong việc gì
PART 2
Describe an occasion when you had to do something in a hurry.
You should say:
• what you had to do
• why you had to do this in a hurry
• how well you did this
and explain how you felt about having to do this in a hurry.
Bài mẫu
Well, I'm always running late for things, so I'm quite often in a hurry. But the time that I want to tell you about is
when I was about 18 years old and had a flight to catch. I was travelling to an island to go on a holiday with my
girlfriend and there were only a few flights a week going there so it really was important that I didn't miss my flight
because it could've ruined the entire trip. At that time, I was living about one and a half hours away from the
airport so I really needed to be well organised in order to get there on time. But back then I wasn't very punctual
and I was quite disorganised a lot of the time. Anyway, I clearly remember that day I was just casually walking
around the house, slowly packing my bags and preparing, when all of a sudden it hit me that I didn't really have
much time at all and needed to get a move on. So I quickly grabbed all my things and threw them in the car. My
mum was driving me to the airport that day but she was running low on fuel so we had to stop at the petrol station
which put me even further behind schedule. When my mum realised we were going to be late, she put her foot
to the floor in an attempt to get there on time. We even called the airline and told them to please wait for me.
Anyway, my mum was speeding, running red lights, and overtaking cars in dangerous situations. I think she
broke just about every road rule on that trip.I just sat there holding on for dear life. So, by some miracle, I
actually made it to the airport with not a minute to spare, so I ran inside, showed my ticket, boarded the plane,
and breathed a sigh of relief. What a trip that was! My mum drove like a race car driver, it was really impressive,
and scary!
Needless to say, I made it to my destination and had a wonderful holiday. But the car trip to the airport really wasn't
something I like to think about. I was so nervous that I was going to miss my flight, and lose the money I spent on
the plane ticket. Not to mention, the anxiety I had to endure while my mum was driving like a madman.
Từ vựng cần lưu ý:
• running late: chậm trễ
• to ruin smth: phá hỏng
• to be on time/punctual: đúng giờ
• disorganised (a): vô tổ chức
• all of a sudden it hit me: đột nhiên nhậnra
• running low on fuel: sắp hết xăng

PART 3
Discussion Topics: Arriving Late
1. Do you think it is ok to arrive late when meeting a friend?
That really depends upon what the meeting is I think and how late you are. If you are just catching up at a cafe or
something casual like that, then I think it's fine to be five or ten minutes late. But 20 or 30 minutes late is probably
not really acceptable. However, if you are in a situation where you need to be punctual, like going to the cinema,
or going to a restaurant, then I think you need to try your best to be on time.
2. What should happen to people who arrive late for work?
Well that's a tricky question, because it depends on the situation. I think it doesn't really matter in many cases if
you are a little late for work. The main thing is that you achieve your work outcomes for the day. It's already been
proven in some countries that people can achieve more by being at work less. But if you have a job that requires
you to be on time, such as being a teacher, then it's not really acceptable to be late. I suppose people in that
situation who are late should face some kind of financial punishment, such as a fine or something.
3. Can you suggest how people can make sure they don't arrive late?
I think the best way to be on time is to aim to be 10-15 minutes early. Normally, people are 5 or 10 minutes late, so
if they aim to be 10-15 minutes early, then they should arrive on time. I think the problem is that people need to
change their mindset about being on time. If you need to be somewhere at midday, then don't aim for midday,
you need to aim for 11.45, to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances that may arise. My friend once told
me that if you're not 10 minutes early, then it means you are late. I think that's a good way of looking at it.
