The students will be asked to write an alternative beginning/ending to a piece of text

from ‘A Magic Place’.

Instructions:

 The students will be informed in advance to read the piece of the

prescribed text from ‘A Magic Place’.

 On the allotted day the students will be asked to write an alternative

beginning/ending for approximately 300-350 words in A4 sheets.

 The students will be given two periods for writing.

 Students will complete and submit their work in a proper file.

 The project will be marked on Content, Creativity & Originality, and

Presentation.

 20 Marks for Internal Assessment – Project Work.

 The aural skills will be assessed by the teacher.

 The student needs to listen to the comprehension passage carefully for

 The student will follow instructions clearly and will answer the questions
based on his/her understanding of the passage.

Jam Session: [10]

The students prepare to talk on a challenging topic provided to them. Two minutes
will be given to each student to speak. The student will be judged on presentation,
modulation of voice, and content knowledge.

 Last page students will write a passage on contemporary eating habits in
France. (50-100 words). Students stick relevant pictures.

TOPIC: Five Kingdom Classification

INSTRUCTIONS:

 This is a group project.

 The groups will be assigned by the respective teacher in the class.
 The project will be in the form of a PowerPoint presentation based on the
subtopic assigned to each of the groups.
 Each presentation should consist of the following:

1. Name of the phylum – 1 slide

2. Characteristic features with relevant examples – 2/3 slides

3. Suitable diagrams/pictures named appropriately – 1/2 slides

4. Bibliography/Reference – 1 slide

 The written matter should be specific, in pointers, with legible font.

 Can use animation wherever appropriate.
 The group leader will divide slides to be made in the PPT amongst the group
members.
