australian permanent visa : what is it ?

This visa allows skilled foreign workers to live and work in Australia indefinitely and without restriction. Before
you can live and work in Australia, you must be granted your Australian permanent visa.

Permanent visa applications are by invitation only by the Department of Home Affairs. To be invited to lodge a
permanent visa application, a person must satisfy the following requirements:

age You must be under 45 years old.

english language You must have at least competent English ability (IELTS score of 6 in each band or
PTE Academic score of 50 in each band).

nominated occupation You must nominate a skilled occupation, which fits your skills and qualifications.
Your Nominated Occupation must be on a relevant Skilled Occupations List.

skills assessment You must have your skills assessed positively by the Australian assessing authority
designated to assess your Nominated Occupation.

You must score enough points to meet the pass mark of 65 points. Calculate your
points test points score below.
