a. enhance substance among the youth which expands their experiences and ideals in life;
b. generate the significance of a mother’s love and wisdom as a worthwhile human; and

The teacher will ask questions about the last topic that was discussed last meeting.

C. Motivation
The teacher will present a song entitled ‘’Awit Kay Inay’’ by Carol Banawa then let
the students sing the song, and after singing the student will describe their/a mother by
providing words which starts with M O T H E R.
D. Presentation
The teacher will present a video that shows a mother’s love to his son then student
will answer the following questions:
The teacher will present some words and the student will match the pictures from the
words in the column A. After, the teacher will present a video about the story ‘’The Aged
Mother”.

F. APPLICATION
The teacher will group the students, then the students are tasked to demonstrate how they
love and appreciate the love and wisdom they acquire from their mothers through role play. Script
and scripts are provided.
Direction: Go to your assigned group and have a little discussion and assigned someone
from the group for their roles in the role play. Read and follow the criteria given.

The teacher will play a music, and let the students pass the fan and when the music stops
then the one who hold the fan will be the one to spin the wheel. Let the student spin the wheel and
if what colour the arrow is pointed that would be his/her question to answer.

d. Show him the goodness and usefulness of the aged people and make him realize that indeed
aged people are significant in the society.
3. What similarity do you see between the story and our culture as a Filipino in treating our
parents?
a. We are always preparing for a grand celebration when our parents will turn 50 years old.
b. We are allocating allowance to our parents as a way of showing our gratitude to them.
c. We are taking good care of our parents when they get old.
4. What do you think will happen if we kill all the aged people in our community?

Think of your own mother and ponder on the words of wisdom you gained from her. Write
your acquired wisdom and reflect how it changed you to be a better person. Be able to come up
with a creative poem.
