 Lưu ý
+ Với những động từ tận cùng là một chữ “e” thì ta BỎ “e”
trước khi thêm “ing”
come => live => write =>
+ Với những động từ tận cùng là hai chữ “e” thì ta KHÔNG BỎ
“e” trước khi thêm “ing”
see =>
+ Với những động từ có hai âm tiết, tận cùng là một phụ âm,
trước là một nguyên âm thì ta căn cứ vào trọng âm của từ đó để
xem có phải gấp đôi phụ âm cuối hay không
TH1 : Nếu trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ nhất thì ta chỉ việc thêm -ing
Vd : open => listen => answer =>
TH2 : Nêu trọng âm rơi vào âm tiết thứ hai thì ta phải gấp đôi phụ
âm cuối trước khi thêm -ing
Vd: begin => prefer => permit =>
+ Với những từ tận cùng là “ie” thì ta đổi “ie” thành “y” rồi
thêm -ing
Vd : lie => die =>

III, Dấu hiệu nhận biết

1, Trong câu có các trạng từ chỉ thời gian

At present : hiện tại
At + giờ cụ thể ở hiện tại (at 12 o’clock)

I ……………..(not stay) at home at the moment.
