I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Identify the author’s biases in given statements.
b. Create a message that promotes fair and unbiased writing.
c. Reflect the importance of biased and unbiased writing into their personal
experiences.

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES

B. MOTIVATION
The teacher will show a picture and let students answer the question “What do
you think the picture portrays?”
Does the picture shows fairness?
The teacher let students write their answers in the illustration board and they
will rise it after answering.
After answering each question, the teacher provide a short description about
the connection of the activity to the topic.

The teacher will provide a words and let them explain it in front randomly.

The teacher will pick a student to give their insight about the difference
between bias and unbias writing.

ACTIVITY: DEBATE
The teacher will give a scenario and the students will have to stick their
stand either if the statement is biased or unbiased.
IV. EVALUATION
Direction: write b if the statement is biased and nb if the statement is unbiased.
V.ASSIGNMENT
Find a short phrase in the social media or facebook that shows biased or unbiased idea. At
least 5 phrases and provide a short explanation.
