I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. Identify the author’s biases in given statements.
b. Create a message that promotes fair and unbiased writing.
c. Reflect the importance of biased and unbiased writing into their personal
experiences.

B. MOTIVATION
 The teacher will show a picture and let students answer the question “What do
you think the picture portrays?”
 Does the picture shows fairness?

 The teacher present the title of the lesson.


C. LESSON PROPER
a. ACTIVITY
 The teacher will group the students into 4 groups for the activity.

Direction: Read the sentence carefully. Put a check mark(/) if the sentence
connotes a positive message and a cross-mark (x) if it is negative.

 The teacher let students write their answers in the illustration board and they
will rise it after answering.
 After answering each question, the teacher provide a short description about
the connection of the activity to the topic.

Direction: write b if the statement is biased and nb if the statement is unbiased.

3. Study says that children’s intelligence is inherited from motherss.
4. Mother nurture best the emotional intelligence of their children.
5. Basketball is one of the most widely played sports in the world.

V.ASSIGNMENT
Find a short phrase in the social media or facebook that shows biased or unbiased idea. At
least 5 phrases and provide a short explanation.
