á Odd number --> Any number that ends in 1 , 3 , 5 , 7 , 9.

Examples:

• A whole number is odd if it is not divisible by 2.


• There is always one left with an odd number of objects.

á Even number --> Any number that ends in 0 , 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 .

Examples:

• A whole number is even if it is dividsible by 2.


• You can always make pairs with an even number of
objects.
