Master Schedule of Parts Covered

Engine
Cylinder head, head gasket, oil pump and drive, crankshaft, flywheel and ring gear, timing gears,
belt and chains, camshaft, cam follower, valves (excluding burnt and pitted valves), valve gear,
pistons, connecting rod, gudgeon pin, distributor drive, inlet and exhaust manifolds, bore / liner,
turbo, intercooler units where factory fitted, variable geometry Turbocharger, EGR cooler, Cam
box, Auto tensioner.
Transmission - AMT automatic transmission (if fitted)
Internal gears, shafts, synchromesh rings and hub, bushes, selector forks, drive chains, gear lever
and bushes (failure due to worn or burn out clutches and bands are not covered), Gear shift cable,
reverse switch. Torque on Demand. AMT and its internal parts.
Cooling System
Radiator, water pump, thermostat, engine oil cooler (failure due to external damage or corrosion
is not covered), auxiliary tank.
Steering System
Rack and pinion, steering box, column, shaft bearings, couplings, power steering pump, pressure
pipes, reservoir. Electric power steering system and its component.
Final drive
Crown wheel and pinion, differential gears, hub and hub bearing. Rear Disc brakes.
Front wheel drive
Drive shaft and couplings, constant velocity joints, hub, drive flange, transfer case.
Fuel System
Fuel pump, pressure damper, auxiliary valve, overrun cut off valve, deceleration valve, tank
sender unit, Fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, Assembly fuel injection pump, high
pressure pump, common rail, high pressure pipes, throttle body, continuous variable cam phaser
unit. Fuel pump calibration & rectification for faults.
Brake System
Servo, master cylinder, wheel cylinder, diesel vacuum pump, callipers, discs (excluding brake
pads/liners), drums, handbrake lever and ratchet, ABS ECU with modulator, wheel speed sensor,
brake pedal switch.
Suspension
Shock absorbers, bush, control arms, upper and lower wishbones, springs, sub frame. Any claim
is limited to 50,000 k ms only from the 1st km.
Casings
Should failure of any of the components covered result in damage to the casings, then they will
also be covered and will constitute part of the maximum claim liability.
Exhaust system
Secondary air pump, EGR valve, EGR actuation system.
Intake System
Assembly throttle body (which includes map sensor, throttle position sensor and idle speed
control valve). Air mass flow meter, air temperature sensor, cam angle sensor, Air intake throttle,
oil separator and PVC valve.
Ignition System
Ignition switch, Immobilizer ECU.
Evaporative Emission Control
Fuel tank cap and relief valve, Glow plug, fast idle control device, cold start valve.
Engine Management System
Water temperature sensor, crank angle sensor, vehicle speed sensor, distributor, ignition coil,
ECU, cam sensor, knock sensor, lambda sensor, PDA position sensor, rail pressure sensor,
accelerator pedal sensor.
Electricals
Starter motor and solenoid, alternator, wiper and washer motor, window motors, fan motors,
panel switches and instruments, driver information system, body control module, ambient temp
sensor, Rain light sensor, Blue tooth box, Rear view camera, window winding controller.
Air Conditioning
Compressor, condenser, evaporator and clutch magnet, AC control panel, Thermal Expansion
valve, blower motor, heater unit, pressure switch. Automatic climate control unit.
As for such parts as tyre, batteries etc. this warranty shall not apply
This warranty shall not cover normal wear and tear or any inherent normal deterioration of the car
or any of its part arising from the actual usage of the car or any damage due to negligent or
improper operation or storage of the car. This warranty shall not apply to normal maintenance
services viz. oils & fluid changes, head lamps focusing, fastener tightening, wheel balancing, tyre
rotation, adjustment of valve clearance, fuel timing, ignition timing, wiper blade / rubber,
distributor cap, HT leads etc. and consumables like bulbs, fuel filters & oil filters etc. and normal
deterioration of sensory feels like noise, touch and texture of particular component.
Exclusions
1. Tata Motors will not accept any liability for any loss, damage or injury of whatsoever nature
sustained by any person(s), property or vehicle(s), including the vehicle detailed in the
registration form, caused by or arising out of or in any way connected with motor vehicle
accidents, fire, storm, flood, theft, chemicals, contamination, environmental damage, explosion,
fire, freezing, fuels, lightening, road hazards, vandalism, windstorm, tsunami or any other natural
calamities, war, civil war, civil rebellion, invasion, insurrection, hostilities, confiscation,
nationalization or loss resulting from order of government or local authority, ionizing radiation or
contamination by radioactivity malicious damage or any other loss, damage or liability not
otherwise specifically covered.
2. The Extended Warranty does not apply to vehicles used for rental services, shuttles, delivery
vehicles, driving schools, emergency services, any kind of timed competition or race, or off road
use.
3. No cover will apply should the vehicle be used for any purpose for which it is not licensed or
for which it was not originally purchased.
4. Tata Motors will not accept any liability for damage caused by missing any scheduled
maintenance service, abuse or the continued use of the vehicle after any fault has become evident,
or for consequential loss of a part not covered by the Extended Warranty.
5. Tata Motors will not accept any liability for damage caused by improper handling, dismantling,
fittings, adjustments, alterations or modifications not approved by Tata Motors, unless such
alterations or modifications are approved by Tata Motors in writing.
6. Excluding all parts not manufactured by Tata Motors/not warranted by Tata Motors for the
parts supplied by others and body trim defects.
7. Tata Motors shall not be liable to make any payment in respect of the following:
a) Loss of the vehicle on account of burglary, theft etc.
b) Any break down of parts unless specified in the master schedule of parts covered.
c) Any loss or damage to batteries, tyres and tubes by any case whatsoever.
d) Any loss or damage to windshield and door/window glasses, paint, trim and appearance items
like bright
finish material, decorative parts, decals etc.
e) Any loss and damage to upholstery, carpets/floor covering, seats and seat covers.
f) Any loss or damage to the items which are not part of the original vehicle.
g) Any loss resulting out of odometer disconnection, tempering or alteration.
h) Damage resulting out of Owner not taking reasonable steps to safe guard the vehicle from loss
or damage
and to maintain it in efficient condition.
i) Any damage to body of the vehicle on account of cracks.
j) Any break down/damage caused by any type of accident or any act of omission, which is will-
full, un-
lawful or negligent or fraudulent.
k) Legal liability for death or bodily injury or property damage other than components covered
under master
schedule of parts covered.
l) Consequential loss of any kind.
J) Vehicle repaired after accident, at workshops not authorised by Tata Motors.
8. Damages arising from
i) Defect which is likely to have existed prior to the commencement of the Extended Warranty.
ii) Foreign matter entering the fuel or cooling system.
iii) Grade of oil, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, or any additives not recommended by Tata Motors.
iv) Any corrosion or damage due to corrosion.
v) All warranty expenses are covered only after vehicle reaches workshop.
vi) Injector not covered if problem is due to improper fuel.
In addition to above mentioned exclusions, given below is the list of items not covered under the
Extended Warranty.
a) Normal maintenance services including without limitation, oil and fluid changes, wheel
alignment, head light aiming, wheel balancing, tightening mountings, tyre rotation, tyre inflation,
engine tuning, engine overhauls, clutch and brake setting, universal joints, clutch & brake
overhaul, valve clearance setting, brushes kit and alternator brush kit, wiper motor brush kit,
differential back lash setting, replacement & adjustments of belts.
b) Normal maintenance service items including without limitation, bulbs, fuses, battery, tyres,
tubes, brake lining, internal parts of brake master cylinder and wheel cylinder, belts (other than
timing belt), hoses, filters, wiper blades, bushes, oil and coolants.
c) Any seal/gasket replaced/refitted as a part of periodic maintenance schedule.
d) Items having limited life like, clutch, brake liners and pads, struts, shock absorbers upto 50,000
km.
e) Interior trim, wheel rims, rubber parts, body & body parts, body mouldings, corrosion of body
parts, glass, lenses, lock cylinder etc.
f) Any repair service required as a result of accident.
g) Exhaust system like catalytic converter, muffler.
h) Accessories.
