In this study, the authors focus on the process of language acquisition in infant development,
exploring how individuals from different backgrounds and environments develop their language
skills through social interactions at school, learning experiences and implementing the use of
English in a hospitality environment.
A. First Language Acquisition
Data source
This research was conducted in 2 meetings. In this study, it was sourced from the testimony of
the baby's biological mother to ensure that the data obtained was valid because it was sourced
from the mother of the child who witnessed the development of her child directly.

Procedures of collecting data
The data collection procedure used direct observation technique by visiting the residence of the
family for 2 meetings. The research was based on a book by Mr. I Nengah Sudipa entitled
'Dimensions of Language Acquisition and its Relationship to Learning English' which centers on
the dimensions of language acquisition in infants. From this research, I realized that infants'
language development will not be instantaneously possessed by them, but will go through
various stages that do not appear suddenly but gradually based on the age of the baby.

From this research with a child who is now 17 weeks old, I obtained the following data:

hospitality. This study obtained data sourced from the results of indirect interviews with

Procedure
This research was conducted through indirect interviews with respondents, where researchers
conducted interviews through chat platforms to ask several things. The interview was conducted
by the researcher asking several questions about how English is used at work, for example in
performing duties as a front office. In this study, the author will ask how the use of English in the
guest check-in process includes the following procedures:
How to check in guests
1. Greeting
2. Ask for guest passport for registration
3. Ask the guest to fill out the registration form
4. Ask for payment via trf or cash
5. After he/she trf, direct him/her to sit in the kitchen and give a welcome drink while preparing
the room key.
6. After finishing the welcome drink, take her to the room with her luggage.
7. Don't forget to say thank you. Have a good night miss. If you have any problem please contact

Result
From this research, the results were found in the form of how to use English in delivering the
check-in procedure to guests. The results of this study are how to talk to foreign guests in
English when going through the check in process.
1. Greeting: "Hello and welcome to Bali Bata Canggu. Good evening! How may I assist you
today?"
As always before heading to the main activity, receptionists are expected to do a greeting
as a form of welcoming guests.
2. Request for Passport: "May I please have your passport for registration purposes?"
After welcoming the guest and finding out what they are here for, the receptionist will
ask for the guest's passport.
3. Request to Fill Registration Form: "Could you please take a moment to fill out our
registration form?"
Next, of course, the guests are expected to fill out the registration file to complete the
customer data.
4. Inquire about Payment: "Would you prefer to make payment via bank transfer or in
cash?"
Afterward, before the endorsement is confirmed to ask for an upfront payment, but it
would be nice if they ask what metope is done in the transaction.
5. After Transfer: "Once the transfer is completed, please make yourself comfortable in our
kitchen area where we will serve you a welcome drink while we prepare your room key."
After the transaction, guests are directed to the kitchen to be served a welcome drink
while they wait for their room to be ready.

accompany you to your room and assist with your luggage."
Then before the room is ready, the guests are served with drinks. Since the hotel still

This study was conducted to find out how English is used as one of the compulsory subjects in
children who are still in elementary school. The respondent of the study is an elementary school
teacher who is briefly as follows:

Procedure
In this research, the author conducted an indirect interview technique through other people,
where the author asked other people to ask the respondents, in other words, the author only wrote
the questions that the other people would ask the respondents.
Result and note
From the results of these interviews that have been conducted, several notes were found in the
form of responses from the teacher. In elementary school, she uses free or mixed methods which
means doing some variations of learning techniques so as to make her students not get bored
quickly. This method is also often used by several other teachers, he said. commonly used
English learning methods include:
1. Role-Playing Method: The teacher assigns roles to the students and they interact in situations
similar to real life. For example, role-playing as sellers and buyers in a store, or as tourists and
tour guides.
2. Songs and Chants: English songs are used to help students learn vocabulary, phrases and
sentence structures. Music can make learning more fun and memorable.
3. Storytelling Method: Teachers tell simple stories in English, which can help students
understand the context and expand their vocabulary.
4. Group Games and Activities: Various games and group activities such as puzzles, board
games, and role plays can be used to improve students' English skills while making learning
more interactive.
These methods are often used because they integrate elements that make learning English more
interesting and relevant for students in primary school.
