LEEMING SHS LIBRARY & SMARTRIDER CARD

In 2024, all new students will be issued with a new plastic library card. One side has the
student’s name, photo and date of birth to be used for borrowing resources from the Library
and also for identification. The other side is their SmartRider for public transport through
TransPerth.
If students don’t need to use the SmartRider for travel, then they simply use it as a Library card.
When they need to use the SmartRider, they can put money onto it at train/bus stations, phone
or online.
If a student loses their card, they will need to apply at the Library for a replacement. ($5
replacement cost)

2024
All new students will receive a Library-SmartRider card at the beginning of the school Year
(2024).
Year 6 students will have a photo taken during their Orientation visit in 2023 or in their first few
days at Leeming SHS. (New students will be called up to the Library).
Year 6 students who currently use a SmartRider card will have their photo taken during
transition however; it will be held until the beginning of the school year to be sent through to
TransPerth.
This will allow students to continue using their SmartRider cards until the beginning of the
school year when their new Library-SmartRider card will become current.
