Minutes of Council Meeting dated April 25, 2024

1. The meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM by Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski.

2. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, led the Council in the opening prayer.

3. Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4. The February 2024 Minutes were approved.

5. There were 17 plus members in attendance, and one (1) guest.

7. The Treasurer’s Report:
General Account: $6,547.10
Savings Account: $2,645.00 (includes raffle ticket money)

8. Financial Secretary’s report:


These are the membership numbers from Supreme:

Total Membership 78
9. Dues:
A discussion was held about members who had not paid dues. The council agreed to pay
Troy Bielemeier’s dues based on all of the service he provides and his ongoing struggles
with his child’s health.

10. King/Veterans:
The council approved donating $400.00 to this project. This is to help purchase toiletries
etc. for Veterans in need.

11. Tootsie Roll Drive:


The Tootsie Roll Drive to help persons with intellectual disabilities is set for May 3 and
May 4. A sign up sheet was circulated. The locations are Stoneridge and Pick-n-Save.

12. Special Needs Prom:


The Council approved a two hundred dollar ($200.00) donation to same.

13. Treehouse Golf Outing:


This is scheduled for May 18, 2024. The council approved the use of $250.00 to members
who want to golf in the outing.

14. Moose Inn Golf Outing:


The Council will once again participate and help with a betting hole.

15. Camp Teleakwitha Scholarships:


The Council agreed to provide two (2) $200.00 scholarships for children from the parish
to attend.

16. Pancake Breakfast – Memorial Day Sunday:


The first event is scheduled for Memorial Day Sunday, May 26, 2024. Cost is $10.00 per
adult, $5.00 per child.
A sign up sheet was created. All members are encouraged to attend and help.

17. Trees for the Parish:


(A) Stan Niklinski is having Spruce trees thinned. He will donate those to the church if
the cost to remove and transplant is not prohibitive. He will check on same;

(B) The Council approved the purchase of 6 Autumn Blaze Maples at approximately
$50.00 per tree. Keith will follow up on the purchase.

18. Scholarships:
There were four (4) applicants. The Council approved $500.00 scholarships for all of
them.

19. Priest Report:


Father Bill Evans addressed the Council and thanked the members for their enthusiastic
support of the Church.
He also asked that members be present for the first Sunday in June, for the Corpus Christi
processional. In particular he’d like help carrying the banners etc.

20. Good of the Order:


Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski announced the names on the Good of the Order. Keith
then led everyone in an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be to the Father said for all on
the following list;

Prayers were said for all.

21. District Deputy Report: None

22. 4th Degree Report: None

23. Field Agent Report: None

24. Chaplain’s Report: (see above)

25. Rosary:
Guest, Paul Ruhland, suggested that with help he would like to lead the Rosary between
the Sunday morning masses. The membership agreed to help and it will start the first
(1st) Sunday in May.

26. The next Council Business Meeting will be Thursday-May 23, 2024 at 6:00 pm.

29. Adjournment:
Grand Knight Keith Kasubaski led the Council in a closing prayer and adjourned the
meeting at 6:55 p.m.
