Russian losses in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine have reached Alege oriunde în Europa

approximately 500,000, a substantial military toll highlighted by French Foreign
Minister Stéphane Séjourné during a May 3 interview with Novaya Gazeta.

"Europe and its partners will remain united and determined for as long as it
takes," said Séjourné.

"Russia's military failure is already evident. We estimate that Russia's military


losses amount to 500.000 people, including 150.000 killed. And all this for
what? In short, for nothing."

Russian losses in the war against Ukraine


Spokesman for General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalev on
Feb. 27 explained that total losses of occupiers, published by General Staff,
consist of two main indicators of losses suffered by enemy in course of
hostilities. Namely, irrecoverable losses and combat sanitary losses of enemy.

In February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian losses amounted


to 180.000 killed and up to half a million wounded.

Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesman for Khortytsia Operational and Strategic


Troops Group, said that 85 percent of Russian losses were concluded in the
eastern sector on April 25. This applies to both personnel and equipment.

The UK Minister of State for the Armed Forces Leo Docherty said on April 27
that approximately 450,000 Russian troops have been killed or wounded since
the onset of the Russian war in Ukraine, the UK estimates suggest.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of May 3,


2024, total losses of Russian army since the beginning of the full-scale
invasion are approximately 472,140 people.
