6.3. Recommendations:
1. Ensure all required materials and equipment are on location. BHA components should be tallied for length;
OD, ID, and fishing neck (if applicable). The gauge on all stabilizers for this hole section should be checked.
Tolerance is 1/8" undergauge.
2. Maintain a minimum of 350t of barite on location.
3. Ensure have 30m3 of kill mud on location.70 to 80 points over mud weight
4. Have primary drill bits ready with proper nozzles installed. Backup bits should be on location.
5. Inspect 7" casing to ensure sufficient length to case the planned section depth.
6. Ensure BHA will have a float valve and a TOTCO ring.
7. Ensure required mud weight to 2.05sg.
8. Calibrate mud logging gas detector.
9. Safety valves, gray valves should be ready for use on rig floor with appropriate cross over’s according to the
assembly in hole.
10. Drill out shoe and 1 meters of formation with same parameters (100% of formation in shale shakers) &
Circulate hole clean until MWout = MWin.
11. Perform shoe bond test to 2.40 sg EMW using cement pumps.
12. Drilling to 7’’ casing point.
13. Perform FIT to 2.30sg EMW using cement pumps.
14. Cementing company should have a tank on site to pump required volume of cement displacement fluid.
