TARGET YOUR INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this Learning Episode, I must be able to assist in the preparation of the
traditional face-to-face learning environment.

Enhancing a Face-to-Face or In-Person Classroom Environment for Learning

In a face-to-face classroom, students and teacher are physically present. They meet at a
time set in the classroom. The teacher prepares activities, provides instruction and evaluates
students learning. Equipment and instructional materials are made available in the classroom
where teaching and learning take place most of the time.
Some of the advantages of face-to-face learning environment for the students are:
 less distraction and more concentration than when studying at home or elsewhere;
 greater understanding and real world examples from teachers and classmates;
 greater chance of completing course work by doing it in the classroom space;
 learn more easily and comfortably in familiar, traditional classroom situation;
 access more relevant information from teachers and classmates interactions and
 greater opportunity to connect and socialize, network and solve problems together with
classmates and teacher.

Here are some characteristics of the face-to-face or in-person learning environment.

 Learning space is physical. Bothe the teacher and learner see and hear each other from
the same contained safe place called the classroom.
 Lessons are delivered with the teacher physically facilitating. Reading assignments are
from textbooks and other resources provided or referred.
 Class meetings occur regularly on a specific time or schedule.
 Teacher leads the conversation, within a limited amount of time.
 Assessment is done face-to-face and usually during the class meeting.

Give the concepts of the info graphic, how can you participate and assist in a face-to-
face learning environment?
- In the face-to-face learning environment, as a prospective teacher, I might join and add to it
by making my classroom a friendly, cozy, and accommodating place where students feel at
ease to engage in discussion and ask questions.

Engaging with one another, sharing thoughts, and offering feedback on the course material
are all encouraged of the students. I'll also allow students to work in groups and independently
to hone their social, creative, and analytical thinking skills in order to increase the caliber of
the assignments produced.

Furthermore, because we are using this new curriculum, I believe I will be able to employ a
variety of teaching strategies that will be very helpful and supportive in a face-to-face learning

environment. I believe I can motivate my students to think critically and engage in discussion
about what they have learned by using technology to make my classes more engaging for
them.

everything is familiar. However, as teaching-learning theories evolve over time there are

What do you think brought the changes in the face-to-face learning environment now?
-I believe that the reason for the changes in the in-person learning environment is because
technology is now being used in the classroom to create effective learning environments. This
has an impact on how chairs and tables are arranged, necessitating the reservation of certain
places, among other things.
From the changes that you identified, choose one that you can do. How will you do it?
-The setup of the entire classroom is something I believe I can improve, and I'll use the
existing technology to make my classroom more creative. In my opinion, I should concentrate
on removing distractions from the classroom that can aid in the students' growth.

Do you think making the learning environment conducive for a face-to-face classroom
will enable the learners to achieve better learning outcomes? ___ Explain your answer.
-Indeed, I do believe that if the classroom is accommodating, there will be fewer distractions,
which will allow the students to continually absorb the material and develop their ability to
ponder and examine it.
