ABOUT THE WORKSHOP A systematic review is a method of literature search that are conducted methodically and transparently to synthesise high level of clinical evidence on the topic of interest. A systematic review can save the time of identifying and appraising individual studies by collating the data from the available relevant studies. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses present results by combining and analyzing data from different studies conducted on similar research topics. Recent new evidence could be integrated into clinical practice only after it has been critically appraised and synthesised based on the existing evidence. Well analysed and performed systematic reviews provide clinically relevant information. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP ARE TO: 1 Describe the importance of systematic review and concepts of evidence-based practice = Formulate appropriate research questions for systematic review using PICO criteria * Prepare a protocol for a systematic review = Develop a search strategy and perform comprehensive literature search = Determine the quality of the studies (appraisal of the studies) = Conduct a meta-analysis and grading the evidence using the GRADE criteria’s, = Prepare report of a systematic review and meta-analysis using PRISMA guidelines.CHIEF PATRONS Shri.
