BAV 605 Task 3
BAV 605 Task 3
BAV 605 Task 3
Safety Measured
1. Do not open the cabin door unitl the cabin is completely depressurized
2. Pull the stab heat circuit breaker (cbr 3) while running this test. If the circuit breaker is not pulled, the blanket can
be damaged.
3. Do not seal drain holes or vents which are normally open in flight.
4. A maintenance technician will be required to be in the cabin to do the electrical checks of the cabin air exhaust
control valve.
5. When any line is disconnected or component removed from the pressurization system, ensure all exposed openings
are tightly capped. The smallest speck of dust or other contaminant could cause system malfunction.
Aim:
Cabin pressurization is provided by conditioned air entering the cabin through the air distribution ducts and controlled
by modulating the amount of air exhausted from the cabin. Components of the pressurization system consist of a cabin
air exhaust control valve, cabin safety valve, cabin under pressure aneroid switch, cabin safety valve aneroid switch,
auto-manual pressurization switch, cabin altitude manual control valve, Cabin Altitude Pressure Limiters I’), cabin
altitude controller, cabin rate of climb indicator, pressure relief and differential pressure gage, cabin altitude pressure
limiters, micro switch on the left landing gear.
System works under Normal Operation and Emergency operation.
Task Procedure:
As per Maintenance Manual performing following test
1. Functional Test of the Cabin Pressurization System
2. Cabin Reference Line Leakage Test
3. Regulated Jet Pump Test (Ground Mode)
4. Regulated Jet Pump Test (Flight Mode)
5. Pressurized Cabin Test (Ground Test)
Do the performance test as per maintenance manual. Adopted the correct technique of test under the
suvilianse of authorised engineer.
Activity:
While carry out the test, found cabin safety valve unserviceable. Hence under the guidelines if supervisor,
remove unserviceable and replaced serviceable safety valve by adopting following procedure.
Post-Task Inspection
1. Keep the area clean. Count the tool and return it No FOD should left in Aircraft. Maintain the documentation.
