ABSTRAK

Artificial Intelligence (AI) stands at the forefront of

technological advancement, revolutionizing diverse fields ranging
from healthcare to finance, and from transportation to
entertainment. This abstract offers a concise overview of the
evolution, applications, challenges, and future prospects of AI.

The evolution of AI traces back to the mid-20th century when

pioneers like Alan Turing laid the groundwork for machine
intelligence. Over the decades, AI has undergone significant
transformations, driven by breakthroughs in algorithms,
computational power, and data availability. From rule-based
systems to deep learning, AI has progressed rapidly, enabling
machines to perform complex tasks traditionally associated with
human cognition.
In contemporary society, AI finds extensive applications across
various domains. In healthcare, AI algorithms assist in medical
diagnosis, drug discovery, and personalized treatment plans,
enhancing patient care and outcomes. In finance, AI-powered
algorithms analyze vast datasets to detect fraudulent activities,
optimize trading strategies, and automate customer service,
thereby improving efficiency and reducing risks. In
transportation, AI facilitates the development of autonomous
vehicles, revolutionizing mobility and transportation systems.

However, the widespread adoption of AI also presents significant

challenges. Ethical considerations surrounding AI, including
privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, and the impact on employment,
necessitate careful deliberation and regulation. Moreover,
ensuring transparency, accountability, and fairness in AI systems
remains a persistent challenge, requiring interdisciplinary
collaboration and regulatory frameworks.

Looking ahead, the future of AI holds immense promise and

potential. Continued advancements in AI research, coupled with
interdisciplinary collaborations, will unlock new possibilities
in healthcare, education, sustainability, and beyond. However,
addressing ethical, social, and regulatory challenges is
paramount to harnessing the full benefits of AI while mitigating
risks and ensuring inclusivity.

In conclusion, AI represents a transformative force with profound

implications for society, economy, and governance. By fostering
responsible innovation and ethical stewardship, we can leverage
the power of AI to address global challenges and create a more
equitable and sustainable future.
CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

This study we will identify the influence and effect of

artificial intelligence. The influence of artificial intelligence
has its own good and bad side, in this study we will identify
those differences. Artificial intelligence is the simulation of
human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer
systems. AI is the most prominent example of digital technology
that is advancing rapidly because it is already known for its
superiority in image and speech recognition, voice assistants,
navigation apps. The Encyclopedia Britannica states that
“artificial intelligence (AI), the ability of a digital computer
or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated
with intelligent beings.”
Advanced technology has undoubtedly revolutionized our lives,
offering numerous advantages in terms of efficiency,
communication, healthcare, education, and connectivity. However,
it also presents certain disadvantages, including job losses,
dependence, addiction, security risks, and environmental impact.
It is crucial to recognize and address these drawbacks while
harnessing the benefits of advanced technology. Responsible and
mindful use of technology can help us maximize its advantages
while minimizing its adverse effects on individuals, society, and
the environment.

In this generation, we are living in a modern and technological

way and there are other people who depend on it, as if they
cannot live without technology. Technology gives a big impact not
only to the people but also to the society. Technology changes
the way we live.

knowledge can also help us develop strategies for managing the
risks associated with advanced technology, such as cybersecurity
threats and social isolation. Ultimately, understanding the
impact of technology on society can help us create a more
sustainable and equitable future.
CHAPTER II
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

According to Lynda Moultry Belcher, Demand Media there are

drawbacks to the many advances made in the field of technology.
In today's world, where just about everything is more
convenient and accessible due to advances in technology across
almost all sectors, it may seem as though it's a misnomer to even
mention any disadvantages of technological advances. However,
despite how far technology has taken humans and no matter how
convenient it may make things, there are some disadvantages
accompanying this level of access.
Technology advances show people a more efficient way to do
things, and these processes get results. For example, education
has been greatly advanced by the technological advances of
computers. Students are able to learn on a global scale without
ever leaving their classrooms. Agricultural processes that once
required dozens upon dozens of human workers can now be
automated, thanks to advances in technology, which means cost-
efficiency for farmers. Medical discoveries occur at a much more
rapid rate, thanks to machines and computers that aid in the
research process and allow for more intense educational research
into medical matters.
The more advanced society becomes technologically, the more
people begin to depend on computers and other forms of technology
for everyday existence. This means that when a machine breaks or
a computer crashes, humans become almost disabled until the
problem is resolved. This kind of dependency on technology puts
people at a distinct disadvantage, because they become less self-
reliant.

According to Spears (2012), she cites Donovan, Hartley &

Strudler (2007) and describes the first 1:1 technology program
that was used in a school setting. Spears (2012) states, "The
first provider of 1:1 computer access for teachers and students
was Apple Classrooms of Tomorrow (ACOT). The goal of ACOT was to
promote change in the context of education" (p. 11. Spears
continues in her study and describes Microsoft's 1:1 initiative
through the Anytime Anywhere Learning (AAL) program. Spears (p.
1) cites the work of Donovan et al. (2007), "An increase in
enthusiasm for teaching and learning with technology, an
improvement in student writing skills, an increase of authentic
and purposeful use of technology. are some of the benefits of 1:1
technology integration programs like the AAL program." These
programs in the 1980's and 1990's paved the way for presidents,
legislators, administrators, and educators to become aware of how
positively technology could impact the student and teacher in the
classroom, alike.
Technology as a recent marvel in cur everyday life that has
taken off. Technology allows the most difficult tasks to become
seamlessly easy and more efficient. In education, technology has
allowed the dissemination of knowledge to be dispersed instantly
and it allows for quicker and more effective communication. Also,
technology has allowed students to be engaged and leam in ways
that they never have in a classroom setting before.

According to Potter Kaledio (2023) Furthermore, AI can support
collaborative learning environments. Intelligent tutoring systems
and virtual learning assistants can facilitate group discussions,
provide guidance, and foster collaboration among students. These
AI-powered tools can promote active participation, critical
thinking, and problem-solving skills, creating a dynamic learning
environment that mirrors real-world scenarios. However, the
integration of AI in education also poses challenges that need to
be addressed. Privacy and ethical concerns arise when dealing
with student data, as AI relies on collecting and analyzing
personal information to provide personalized experiences.
Safeguarding student data privacy and ensuring ethical use of AI
technologies are essential considerations for educators and
policymakers. Additionally, there is a potential risk of over-
reliance on AI technologies, leading to a passive learning
experience for students. Balancing the use of AI with human
instruction and guidance is crucial to maintain meaningful
interactions and promote deeper understanding.

According to (Kumar & Choudhary, 2020), In the realm of

education, AI plays a significant role in assisting students with
their written works such as in their Grammar and Spelling
Correction: AI-powered tools like Grammarly and ProWritingAid
provide real-time feedback on grammar, punctuation, and spelling
errors, helping students improve the quality of their written
work. Therefore, AI helps to enhance the grammar and writing
skills of the students and has proven that it reduces grammar
errors from the students in terms of writing their assignments.

Artificial Intelligence is not all about providing an easy life

students who overused or relying too much to Artificial
Intelligence, which can cause either go Acording to Rodrigo
(2023), artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of research in
which computer systems are created to execute skills that are
often associated with human beings. Some examples of these
functions include recognizing faces or voices, playing chess, or
driving a vehicle through traffic. AI in Education (AIED) is a
term that describes the application of AI in educational settings
with the goal of enhancing the teaching, learning, or overall
educational experience.
It is possible that AIED will have a
significant effect on human cognition as well as the development
of the brain. Ever since Socrates argued that writing led to
forgetting, people have held the belief that technology has had a
substantial impact on human growth and intellect. In spite of
this, though, the repercussions are very likely to be
complicated. For instance, one study has revealed that increased
usage of Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation devices and
applications leads to a deterioration in spatial memory, while
another study has demonstrated that using smartphone alerts frees
cognitive
resources for other tasks. Both of these studies were conducted
by the same researchers. Because children's mental structures and
abilities are, by definition, still in the process of
development, there are a number of unanswered questions regarding
the impact that technology has on children's brains and
cognition. This is a particularly relevant question because of
the significance of the fact that children's
brains are still developing. These questions include whether the
use of technology is the cause of a variety of cognitive and
behavioral outcomes such as attention problems, whether the use
of technology is implicated in restructuring parts of children's
brains, and whether there are real health risks associated
with the use of technology, and if so, what the potential
mechanisms of causation might be. Thesequestions are also likely
to be essential for AIED, which hints at the requirement for
additional research in this field. (Holmes, 2022)od or bad effect

This result is supported by Veronica Salido, the introduction of
artificial intelligence (Al) into educational environments has
ushered in a new era that is revolutionary in terms of the field
of education and the process of teaching. This review of related
literature investigates the rapidly changing environment of Al-
powered learning aids and the significant influence these tools
have on the academic performance and comprehension of students.
As the educational landscape continues to be reshaped by
technology, it is necessary to investigate the corpus of existing
research and scholarly discourse in order to obtain insights into
the diverse implications of Al in education.

CHAPTER V
SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATION
This chapter presents the summary of the findings,
conclusion and recommendation yieldedby the through
study and analysis of data.
Summary

This study entitled " Influence of artificial technology on

the academic performance of the students of general tinio
national high school – senior high school " was conducted to
determine the negative and positive effects of AI on academic
purposes, many student are currently using AI or any apps that
can help them for assignments, activities, etc. Some of students
are struggling in doing assignments or activities because of many
homework that gave them of their teacher. The student of General
Tinio National High School-SHS were specifically chosen to be the
respondents of this study, because they are the ones who using
AI.

The survey method of research was used to gather the necessary

information and data from the respondents regarding the
implementation of the Artificial intelligence (AI), A
questionnaire that was prepared by the researchers was used in
this study. This study started during the first and second
quarters of the first semester of the School Year 2023-2024. .
The researchers used the quantitative method to describe the
capabilities of respondents and the knowledge of every student
who using AI. AI is a branch of computer science that focuses on
creating systems capable of performing tasks that typically
require human intelligence. These tasks include learning,
reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language
understanding. AI techniques range from rule-based systems to
deep learning algorithms, which have enabled significant
advancements in various fields such as healthcare, finance,
transportation, and entertainment. However, ethical
considerations around AI's impact on society, including issues of
bias, privacy, and job displacement, continue to be important
topics of discussion.

Conclusion
1. Artificial Intelligence as the potential to transform all
organizations. The process by which this transformation
happens can vary, but the steps will tend to follow the
roadmap we have listed in this book. Following all the steps
outlined in the previous chapters will enable your
organization to implement and excel in the use of AI
technology.

2. AI holds the key to unlocking a magnificent future where,

driven by data and computers that understand our world, we
will all make more informed decisions. These computers of
the future will understand not just how to turn on the
switches but why the switches need to be turned on. Even
further, they may one day ask us if we need switches at all.

3. Although AI cannot solve all your organization's problems,

it has the potential to completely change how business is
done. It affects every sector, from manufacturing to
finance, bringing about never before seen increases in
efficiency. As more industries adopt and start experimenting
with this technology, newer applications will be invented.
AI will bring a change even more widespread and sweeping
than the introduction of computing devices.

4. It will change the way we transact, get diagnosed, perform

surgeries, and drive our cars. It is already changing
industrial processes, medical imaging, financial modeling,
and computer vision. We are well on our way to tapping into
this enormous potential, and as a result, the future holds
better decision-making potential and faster

Recommendation:

1. In the field of AI research, recommender systems

play a crucial role in providing personalized
service support to users by predicting their
preferences based on p It must behaviors. These
systems leverage various AI techniques such as
content-based, collaborative filtering, and
knowledge-based approaches to enhance user
experience and increase satisfaction. Content-based
recommender systems analyze item descriptions to
predict utility based on user profiles, while
collaborative filtering methods rely on user-item
interactions to make recommendations. Knowledge-
based approaches incorporate domain knowledge to
provide personalized suggestions.

2.AI techniques have revolutionized recommender

systems by improving prediction accuracy and
addressing challenges like data sparsity and cold
start problems. Some of the key AI methods used in
recommender systems include fuzzy techniques,
transfer learning, neural networks, deep learning,
active learning, natural language processing,
computer vision, and evolutionary computing. These
advanced techniques enable recommender systems to
offer more precise recommendations tailored to
individual user preferences.

3.Understand the Basics: Develop a solid

understanding of the fundamentals of artificial
intelligence, including machine learning
algorithms, data preprocessing, model evaluation,
and ethical considerations.

4.I propose that future studies on that topic focus

on individuals who use it for written work,
because, according to our data, there are a large
number of people who use artificial intelligence,
including students, for written work or essays. It
is recommended that teachers pay attention to
students who cannot accomplish simple written
tasks.
