Preface _________________________________________________
This field manual is part of FM series 100-X-8X. The other volumes in this series are FM
100-1-8X (The Federal States-Army: Troops and Tactics), FM 100-2-8X (The Army of the Ebon
Forest: Troops and Tactics) and FM 100-4-8X (The Atom Barons of Santagria: Troops and
Tactics). Each volume in the series describes the range of troop types and characteristics of an
opposing force to the Federal States-Army.
This document, FM 100-3-8X, describes the known elements of the New Rygolic Host.
Used together, they form a thorough reference on any challengers the F.S-A. may expect to face,
as well as its own strengths and weaknesses in comparison to them.
This manual represents the definitive (condensed) source of unclassified information on
Rygolic ground and rotary-wing air forces: their abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and general
availability to a commander. The Main Threats Directorate at the Drekfort Military Development
Center, Langport, Vansa, updates these manuals periodically to provide the most current
unclassified information available.

CHAPTER 1
OVERVIEW
The New Rygolic Host (N.R.H.)
constitutes all known land and air elements of
the autonomous border security force of the
Rygo Heartlands. N.R.H. forces at large are
coordinated by the Rygonet radio network
which is broadcast to transmission and relay
units on a per-team basis across their entire
area of operation; the nature of its central
command apparatus is unknown.
While the N.R.H. tends to deploy
understrength, the speed of their
replenishment along the front belies restraint
rather than reluctance. The size of the average
Rygole force is compensated by advanced
weapons which surpass the likes of even
F.S-A manufacture. In truth, the question of
Rygolic procurement has never been
satisfactorily answered; as a rule, there are
always more than intelligence can verify.
Constructs do not fear death, nor can
they truly conceive it. The Rygo way of war
discards the notions of loss, gain, and defeat-
they evaluate conflict as nothing more than a
test of endurance and the attrition of numbers.
Sacrifice is the expected conclusion of every
maneuver. Formations engaging N.R.H. forces
should make full use of this willingness to
sustain casualties and tendency to penny
packet high value assets. Always engage
Rygolic forces with numerical superiority and
simultaneous presentations of your own
elements.
FACTIONAL STRENGTH:
Fast and flexible ground forces.
FACTIONAL QUIRK:
Advanced, expensive weaponry.
FACTIONAL WEAKNESS:
Lackluster numbers.

INFANTRY
Construct infantry are the dauntless pawns of the Rygolic war machine. Lacking the
sensation of pain or the intuition of fear, constructs make for superlative soldiers as long as there
is something around to tell them what to do. Constructs are equipped with the latest and best
armaments of N.R.H procurement, but the expense of such means most infantry deployments run
thin. Thus constructs are fitted with versatility in mind and units can serve adequately in
multiple roles on the battlefield.

REMARKS
N.R.H. doctrine prefers flexibility over
resilience. Legionnaires squads are often
split into separate “tactical teams” to permit
envelopment and increase volume of fire at
the expense of unit survival.
LEGIONNAIRES - 25 pts
LINE SQUAD
REMARKS
Quick, obedient, and impeccably accurate,
Legionnaires make up the backbone of any
Rygo operation as premier tank hunters and
urban fighters. Legionnaire squads are
equipped to the same specification as
tactical teams, possessing twice the
ammunition and bodies to spare under fire.
-NO DATA-
Rygo equipment is both reliable and
effective, but it is costly to produce. This
puts enough of a strain on their procurement
facilities that far more constructs are made
than can be feasibly armed to specification.
Legionnaire squads are few, but usually
well-supplied.
REMARKS
A Legionnaire escort beside self-firing (but
not loading) 80mm “mortar spider”
constructs. The N.R.H. has an aversion to
fragmentation weapons, so spiders are
equipped exclusively with thin-walled HE -NO DATA-
to maximize concussive force on target.
ASSASSINS - 30 pts
COMMANDO SQUAD
REMARKS
Headless, multi-armed variant constructs
kitted with an assortment of close quarters
weapons. Diminished cognitive and sensory
abilities reduce combat to programmed
instinct, making them fearsome predators.
Assassins make for exceptional urban
operators, but they are nearly helpless if
-NO DATA-
caught out of their effective range.

MEAT IMITATOR
REMARKS
A halfway state between pure biomass and
modeled construct. Rather than carrying any
equipment of their own, simulacra
reflexively take an “imprint” of the closest
identified enemy unit and mimic its body
and weaponry according to the unit’s known
technical profile. -NO DATA-
Mimicry has size constraints, but the
presence of complex ammo-regenerative
glands makes ammo supply a non-issue.

REMARKS
N.R.H. rockets are deployed in countless
configurations, but they are used most
commonly for resupply and infantry
transport. Rather than using a drone,
rockets are driven from an unsealed
cockpit to allow quick replacement of the
pilot in the event of a non-disabling strike
on the vehicle.

REMARKS
One of many iterations of the “Alpha”
drone pattern. Unlike other drones, which -NO DATA-
have a remote operator, “Alpha” sentries
are fully computerized. The gun has a
targeting computer and standard
Legionnaire optics complement, but no
manual fire overrides.
REMARKS
An “Alpha'' pattern drone with standard
gunsights and a three-rocket Parallax -NO DATA-
package launcher borrowed from the Graser.
REMARKS
A special support brace on the turret ring -NO DATA-
sustains the pulsed laser deposition of a
Frequency 5KW laser, allowing the sentry
to dole double the punishment of a construct
team in exchange for the predictable
downsides of its platform.

REMARKS
A rearmament of the Ultraviolet chassis with
a slimmer turret holding an array of Torus
thermobaric missile pods. The missiles are
optically guided, but numerous enough to
become effective through saturation. With -NO DATA-
the rocket pods mounted externally, there is
room in the turret for a second operator with
a dispersion calculus computer.
REMARKS
An unusual refit of a dock platform used for
storage in Heartland ports. A mechanical
stabilizer has been installed to secure the
bases of otherwise immobile support drones
for conversion into brown-water gunboats.

AIRCRAFT
Rygoles field numerous fixed-wing aircraft, but they lack any traditional helicopters in
their standard deployment. Instead, they possess a variety of piloted rockets and utility drones,
the latter of which are sometimes equipped as ground support weapon carriers.

Spotter drones are unable to threaten enemy
materiel, so they are treated as expendable
by Rygolic command. Spotters may be used
in a bait maneuver by flying suddenly out of
cover, ostensibly to designate a target- this
induces a retaliatory strike, which allows the
greater force to ascertain the strength of
opposing anti-air elements.
