Dear Fellow Educator:

It is my sincere pleasure to recommend Ariann Adams for a teaching position in your school
district. I have known Ariann for a few months, since August 2023. She was a student in my
math methods class during the 2023 fall semester and she was also one of the students I
supervised during her field experience in the professional semester. During her professional
semester field experience, Ariann was placed in a kindergarten classroom at the Clarence M.
Gockley Elementary School in the Whitehall-Coplay School District where she continued her
student teaching in the 2024 spring semester.

During her professional semester field experience, Ariann worked diligently to prepare age-
appropriate, interesting lessons that align to standards. She created a safe and nurturing learning
environment for her students. It is clear that there is a mutual love and respect between Ariann
and her students. It is typical for children of this age to get off-topic, but Ariann promptly and
effectively managed to redirect the students to return their focus to the task at hand. Her
classroom management skills exceeded the expectations of a teacher candidate in the
professional semester. In fact, during the first week of her field experience, in the absence of her
mentor teacher, a substitute teacher thought Ariann was the teacher.

During her professional semester, Ariann created effective formative assessments that aligned to
standards to determine individual student understanding and she planned appropriately for next
steps in instruction. In a nutshell, Ariann is a natural! She demonstrates a high degree of
professionalism in all of her interactions with students, colleagues, and other professionals.

In fall 2024, Ariann will begin her studies to become a reading specialist where she will be
working in the East Penn School District. I believe Ariann is an excellent candidate for a
teaching position in your school district. And I am confident that she will be an asset to the
students, teachers, and parents of the school community in which she teaches.

Please contact me if you would like to further discuss the qualifications of this applicant.

Sincerely,

Mary Ann Stank
